It’s probably too early to tell; at this point (pre-production stage) you can only rely on fishy rumors and murky tipsters to share. But as you may know, good news spread around pretty fast these days and someone, close enough to HP manufacturing division, apparently knows that pretty well. So what is it all about, you may ask? A new HP tablet – nothing that you haven’t already heard about, except the acknowledged unit (which was recently emerged in Asia) appears to be a near final 7-inch Zeen C510 Android 2.1 tablet – yes, an ANDROID tablet which is rumored to be part of a $399 printer bundle. And while there’s not much info about the hardware, software wise you get an integrated Email client along with Facebook, 60 Minutes, MSNBC, and Dreamworks apps preloaded as well. Oh, and there’s a printing app too, in case you wondered. Regretfully, it won’t go live solo, just bundled with this new HP PhotoSmart eStation C510 printer, but the price is pretty convenient, isn’t it?

Samsung is not just about tablets. As you can see, its range also contains some new ultra-portable laptop devices that blend in with the most contemporary technology such as 4G connectivity which Sammy has stuffed into its latest and greatest 10.1-inch N350 netbook, in the form of dual-mode LTE and HSPA+ support. Other than that, it’s basically what you’d expect from a lavish netbook these days, with this top-notch dual-core Atom N550 processor inside, paired with 250GB of storage, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, multi-card reader, a bunch of speedy USB hubs and a 3-cell battery that is claimed to deliver up to 6.7 hours of continuous work. European prices are considerably high, €429 (about $555), but there’s a good chance they will go down a bit when this thing comes out somewhere this autumn.

Hot on the heels of the tablet sphere, Toshiba’s 10.1-inch Folio 100 slate just got official, only few hours after Samsung’s most anticipated Galaxy Tab has made it out worldwide. And while Toshiba’s elegant Android 2.2 tablet seems a bit unready for the market at the moment, for €399 it still worth the wait. Generally speaking, the new Folio 100 boasts a Tegra 2 chipset  inside but the custom skin which Tosh has thrown on top of Google’s Android platform, feels a bit sluggish to handle UI properly. As mentioned, the display itself is a 10.1 inch 1024 x 600 capacitive touchscreen and there are 16GB of internal memory hidden under the hood. The chassis is only 0.55-inch thick, which makes this Japanese tablet thin and very light to hold in your hands (1.7 pounds of weight) – still you’ll find an SD card expansion and HDMI output built into the frame. Up front, there’s a 1.3 megapixel camera and the battery is said to deliver up to 7 hours of basic work. Naturally, this slick tablet machine supports a 802.11n WiFi connectivity and software wise will apparently pack an Opera browser along with Toshiba’s costume made Media Player, Documents To Go app, Fring, Evernote and a nice eBook application, called FBReader. Samsung has finally gone official with its latest and greatest 7-inch Galaxy Tab tablet. The super hyped Android 2.2 device which Sami has pledged to release across the European continent this month, stores a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor, paired with wide range of radio frequencies, including  HSUPA 5.76 Mbps / HSDPA 7.2 Mbps (900, 1900, 2100 MHz), and quad-band GSM, while connectivity wise you get the most updated Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 support. Further more, you will be offered to choose either 16GB or 32GB capacities at your choice, joined by a microSD card slot that can add up to a 32GB more. Under the lid there’s a 4,000mAh battery pack and down the bottom you’ll find a 30-pin dock connector that lets you connect HDMI, USB, and other docking accessory stocks. The white slick tablet comes equipped with a rear 3 megapixel camera with flash and a 1.3 megapixel webcam up front. It’s capable of running Adobe Flash 10.1 platforms and can easily handle Full HD video playback on board. Pricing details and US availability are still missing at the moment, but full specs chart, PR announcement and the official video commercial are just around the jumping spot.

Update1: Pricing speculations start floating across the European continent, as more and more local retailers start reporting about their Galaxy Tab set of prices. Nothing has been officially announced yet, so please take it with a grain of salt unless you know something we don’t. And getting into the details, we’re now hearing of ginormous prices as high as €699 ($890) in France and €799 ($1,020) in Germany – considering there are 16GB and 32GB flavors to choose from. As for UK residents, Expansys will sell you the 16GB Galaxy Tab at £680 ($1,050), with shipping dated for 11th October.

Apple’s just announced iOS 4.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch devices, coming up free of charge via iTunes sometimes next week. According to Steve Jobs, the new update is going to fix a few bugs (including Bluetooth, proximity sensor and some iPhone 3G issues) along with some pretty neat add-ons such as High Dynamic Range photos, HD video uploads over WiFi, TV show rentals and the most anticipated Game Center which proved to be very impressive and will match you up with other players on the net.

Next on Apple’s future plans is the iOS 4.2 version, which was specifically designed for iPad devices and is supposed to bring in the entire iOS 4.1 features along with additional dedicated capabilities including the AirPlay feature which lets you stream music and video content over WiFi, or the wireless printing option that enables to remotely manage your entire print jobs. This new iPad iOS edition is claimed to go live somewhere around November.

Hannspree is no stranger for us at this website, but frankly it’s not as popular as other established companies you may well know. Nevertheless, you might still find it interesting, especially with that new 10.1-inch multi-touch tablet which the company has recently shown. Basically, for the €399 (about $505) that Hannspree is asking for, you’ll buy yourself a nice and lavish Android 2.2 device, packing a 1,024 x 600 capacitive display with 16GB of internal storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, a built-in accelerometer, HDMI output and one USB host. The 3,500mAh battery is said to deliver up to 8 hours of high-def video playback when this thing comes out somewhere around the end of this year, we’re told.

We’ve already seen a bunch of Archos Internet tablets based on Android 1.6 landscape, in the past. Thankfully, the next wave, which will happen this year, will focus on Google’s upcoming Android 2.2 platform (Froyo), as the upper level models will also include multitouch capacitive touchscreens inside. We’ll see a mix of 5 different Android versions getting unleashed – some are more of media player devices and some will likely go live as tablet machines.

Archos 28 ($99.99) – A budget version. Comes with a 2.8-inch, 320 x 240 resistive touchscreen which packs underneath 4GB of storage along with a pretty impressive 800MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and a wide range of audio / video codecs support. It also boasts an Android Froyo operating system and a new Archos music app that will display your album art in the most convenient way. Regretfully it won’t have Market Apps access nor Google apps preloaded, but fret not, you won’t be left with nothing inside. Get yours, starting this September.

Archos 32 ($149.99) – Another basic PMP version. This one, however, comes equipped with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, boasting 8GB of storage and a rear 720p camera to catch your very precious moments. In addition, if you want this one you can get it somewhere around mid-September with a slew of touch buttons down the lane and a composite port for TV connection.

Archos 43 ($199) – Up next in this new lineup is the Archos 43 which looks like a new Archos 5 version with a much slimmer design and a more powerful 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor. In addition to the 4.3-inch touchscreen you’ll also get (somewhere around mid-October) that rear 720p camera, along the Android Froyo platform and an integrated screen accelerometer.

Archos 70 ($274.99) – A 7-inch Android Froyo tablet that is supposed to go live somewhere around mid October and replace the previous Archos 7 flavor, yet again with an Android 2.2 OS running inside and a slick capacitive multitouch display placed on the top. This one has a mid-October availability dates as well.

Archos 101 ($300) – The most interesting member in that gang, probably because of the 9.7-inch Apple iPad analogy. Comes fully equipped with a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 capacitive touchscreen, along a slim .5-inch thick chassis and only .93-pound of weight. It houses that same strong 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and runs Google’s latest Android 2.2 platform onboard. In addition you get a front facing VGA camera for video conference chats and in term of ports it is said to include an HDMI output, a microSD reader and one single USB host. We’re not ruling out the possibility of a 3D tablet device coming out to the most trendy and rapidly burgeoning pond – We really don’t! But the sad thing about this latest 3D technology is that it’s the one technology that is probably incapable of displaying good video quality and showing it properly to the people who are asking to watch – especially when it comes to one of those small and portable media machines, you might wanna own. Having said that, Korea’s i-Station would love to show you its next 7-inch (800×480) Z3D 3D slate box which apparently includes an Android 2.1 platform and enables 3D content viewing along both 802.11b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0 support. It offers either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, paired with a local DMB-TV tuner, FM radio, 5000mAh of battery pack and either piano black or pearl white flavors to pick at your choice. If you’re interested, start counting KRW600,000 or about $500, when this thing comes out in Asia somewhere around November and not a single day before.

Oh what a hottie we have in here…A brand new Eee PC netbooks lineup with Intel’s dual-core, mobile Atom N550 processor included? Apparently yes, that’s exactly what Taiwanese corp Asus is planning for us in the coming months. The first version in that group is the 1015PEM, which boasts the new 1.5GHz N550 CPU, paired with a 10.1-inch (1024×600) LED display, 0.3MP webcam, up to 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 160/250/320 GB HDD at your choice, Intel’s GMA X3150 for the graphics and Windows 7 Starter edition for the OS platform – all priced competitively at €349 (about $440). The second group member is the 1015PN, which is rumored to make a US debut next month with NVIDIA’s Ion 2 module and some other cool goodies inside. Stay tuned for a lot more to come.

It may still be intangible for most of us at the moment (until September 2), but the way it looks it seems that Samsung’s future Galaxy Tab has finally made its first official video debut. And while giving us a quick teaser for what we can expect seeing in the coming future – considering the short screen time – it would be just unwise for us to jump into conclusions. That been said, and from the few we’ve managed to catch, it sure looks like the the neat features included: a 7-inch display, running an Android 2.2 platform with an integrated e-reader, video calling capabilities, GPS navigation system, HD video playback and full internet surfing support, are definitely worth the wait and expectations. Update1: Looks like Samsung’s lavish Android-based Galaxy Tab has just made its second video appearance – this time unofficially. What’s inside, you ask? Android 2.2 for the OS, along a 7-inch 16:10 ratio display, a front-facing camera, WCDMA 3G connectivity, a DMB tuner, SDHC memory slot, video calling capabilities and finally, slick and very responsive user interface platform. Update2: And to keep the entire tablet’s accessories lineup in position, Samsung has just announced a new official collection, specifically designed for its 7-inch  Galaxy Tab. We have known for quite some time now that Japanese electronics giant Toshiba is working towards a brand new tablet device – And now, it seems like the good guys at Notebook Italia have apparently managed somehow to get some detailed footage of the company’s alleged technology wonder. Basically, there’s nothing much to report at this point besides the fact it packs both USB and HDMI ports, paired with a memory card reader slot to their right, and a 3.5mm headphone jack to their left. In addition, there are four touch buttons up front the black slick display, implying the whole thing will probably run a Google Android platform inside. More about that at this year’s IFA event which takes place a week and a half from now.

Update1: Rumor has it that Toshiba’s brand new Smart Pad tablet is going to officially be called Folio 100. Other than that, the 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) Android2.2 device is said to include 16GB of internal memory along SD and MMC card readers, 3G WWAN, Bluetooth, and 802.11b/g/n WiFi connections, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a 7 hours battery pack, HDMI / USB 2.0 connectors and last but not least, NVIDIA Tegra 2 to smoothly handle  your 1080p graphics. Look under the hood and you are likely to find an Opera mobile browser, paired with variant office apps, e-book reader capabilities and Flash 10.1 support. Update2: Rumors has been officially confirmed, Toshiba’s new tablet device is now called Folio 100. The 10.1-incher does run an Android 2.1 OS and comes with 16GB of storage along with a front-facing a 1.3 megapixel camera, capacitive multitouch display and a bunch of etched touch buttons placed on the right side of the bezel on top.

Seems like Dell is keeping up with their most awesome ultra-portable netbooks lineup fresh with this nice, slick and colorful (over 130 different covers from Dell Design Studio including collections from OPI, Threadless, and PRODUCT RED) Mini 1018 device. The new release runs £279 (about $435) in Europe, and in return you’ll get a nice batch of top-notch components, including a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, a 10.1-inch WSVGA 1,024 x 600 display, 1GB of DDR3 memory, 250GB hard drive, a front-facing webcam, 802.11n WiFi connectivity, dual SRS Premium audio speakers and last but not least, a Windows 7 Starter version that’s supposed to handle the entire platform under the hood. Back in June the possible existence of Toshiba’s revolutionary Libretto W100 smartbook was still wobbling between a viable prototype and a pleasureful dream. But today, couple months later, this 7-inch dual-screen wonder officially goes live in US market and turns available for pre-order either in silver or black hues with two to three weeks shipping date on Amazon.com. It’s not cheap, as you may already know, in fact it would actually cost you $1,099.99 buckaroos. While no official confirmation has been made, rumor has it that Samsung’s next Android 2.2 tablet, the Galaxy Tab P1000, will presumably include a 1.0GHz S5PC110 processor unit – the one which you’re also going to find in the company’s brand new Galaxy S mobile device (on the left). In addition to that, the 7-inch 840 x 480 capacitive slate reportedly packs dual camera components, a 3.2mp rear camera and a front-facing VGA webcam, both to join other neat features such as integrated WiFi connectivity and a built-in GPS navigation system that Samsung is apparently planing to add to the box. It’s not everyday that we stumble upon a 10.1-inch tablet machine that can actually live with a large variety of systems onboard. At first we weren’t even sure it was possible (dual boot aside), but with Axon Logic’s latest and greatest Haptic device, we may well find ourselves proven wrong. Generally speaking, it’s one of those ordinary tablets running Intel’s Atom processor inside with 2GB of RAM, 320GB of storage, one resistive 10.1-inch touchscreen and three speedy USB 2.0 ports. But with all due respect to those basic netbook-like inner parts this bad boy boasts, the big story here is the (unlicensed) Linux, Windows and Mac OS platforms that the company has apparently managed to make the Haptic work with and provided full compatibility and support. Of course, this privilege does not come cheap (about $750) so be sure to have your check book at the ready if you find yourself shopping Axon Logic’s tablet instead of other attractive alternatives, available across the pond.

There’s no fanfare in here. No drum rolls or trumpets, none of that, just a tranquil 10.1-inch business netbook introduction of the Mini 5103, a Mini 5102 successor, that HP has recently announced. Basically, to get this one, you’ll have to pay at least €429 or somewhere around $565, that would officially grant you either Atom N455 or N475 processors, tucked with up to 320GB HDD (optional up to 128GB SSD), 2GB of RAM, Intel GMA 3150 for the graphics, 3 x USB 2.0 ports, gigabit ethernet, an SD card, WiFi b/g/n connectivity and 2MP camera, stuffed on the front. Besides that, for few bucks more, you get a chance to add an optional Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator, along with optional Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity and this optional touchscreen display panel, instead of the basic structure form. Still no signs of a Stateside release at the moment, but cross fingers, it might just hit some beautiful US shores.

Update: Before one could say Jack Robinson, HP has already updated its “soon to be arrived” Mini 5103 netbooks lineup with Intel’s new dual-core Atom N550 processor, and is likely to offer it along the current Atom N455 and N475 alternatives. No other significant changes were made besides the CPU update.

While Dell is still being elusive when it comes to when we will be able to pick up its wonderful 5-inch Android-based tablet/phone device from local US retail stores, Dell’s Kevin Andrew has taken the burgeoning conversation into the vids and uploaded a Youtube vlog where he talks openly about the Streak and demos the Android 2.1 platform running with Dell’s customized build, in front of the camera. Hopefully, it would go on retail (somewhere this summer) running Froyo 2.2 inside and painted with cherry red colors from the outside, but at the meantime, until it happens, you’ll have to settle with your Android 1.6 version (if you happen to have a Dell Streak machine already) and the 2.1 flavor presented on the web.

On a different note, we hear that Dell will be offering the Streak in the US for $299.99 with a two-year contract at AT&T or $549.99, free of any obligations. Checkout the video after the break.

Update1: Guess what? Dell is officially going to start selling the 5-inch Streak In the US, through AT&T, coming this Friday morning. How much? $299 with a 2 years contract or $549.99 in case you prefer the “no obligation” relations. Update2: I guess it was too good to be true. Turns out the aforementioned $549 off-contract version is…how should we say, not exactly unlocked as some of you might have thought. According to official Dell sources the “free” Dell Streak tablet, “will not be SIM unlocked”, which means you stay connected to AT&T whether you buy the more-expensive version or not.

Oh snap! what’s this? A 7-inch tablet which runs an Android 2.1 OS with a ridiculously low US$150 price tag? That is exactly what the new Augen slate offers. Still not available on shelves (try next week), this nice sleek Florida-based Android machine packs whatever you might need to operate your day-to-day tasks, for a fairly reasonable price. Naturally you shouldn’t expect much, considering the price, but given the fact you’re going to get a WiFi connection, 2GB of storage, 256MB of RAM, and a 7-inch resistive (and hopefully responsive) touchscreen in return – this deal looks pretty attractive for us, isn’t it?

Yes, it would have been nice if a sub $100 tablet could actually pop up in western shores immediately, but it won’t. Instead, you’re going to get it in India, the second-most populous country in the world, for $35 US Dollars only(!), running some sort of a Linux platform inside and fully equipped with 2GB of memory, a nice resistive touchscreen, one USB port, 2W power draw, built-in stereo speakers and plenty other basic components to hold. According to Kapil Sibal, India’s Human Resource Development Minister, the Indian government apparently plans to sell it for educational purposes starting next year, with more than 8,500 local schools and colleges already joined the program, and other institutes that will likely signed it in the following days, weeks or months that left before this cool tablet finally shows. The end-game target is to sell it for merely $10 a piece, with $20 subsidized by the Indian government and the rest, coming out of students pockets and other available funding sources along the road  – Very cool, huh? India is about to join the world on that super-cool Android tablets trend, with local company, Olive Telecom announcing its first 3.5G Android 2.1 tablet, also known as the Olive Pad VT100, and claimed to go live in India somewhere next month, for prices range between Rs.20000 to Rs.25000, or about $425 to $530 in US Dollars. And while we can’t be certain about a US release, Indian geeks will most likely enjoy holding it with both hands and surf the net on that nice looking 7-inch (800 x 480) capacitive touchscreen. Other than that, this neat and not-too-shabby gadget is said to include 512MB of internal memory, paired with a 3MP rear camera, an SD card slot, mini USB hub, a 3,240mAh battery, Bluetooth, WiFi, an integrated compass and last but not least, a G-sensor support. So yes, it’s a fascinating slate-smartphone hybrid device. From one side, not too small to hold it close to your ear and talk, but from the other, big enough to consume internet content and multimedia videos on the go. PR after the break.
