Sony has announced a new PSP cradle, to be available in Japan in April 24th. The new desirable cradle enables PSP users to output movies or games straight to their TV box and control it directly from their couch with a supplied IR remote. You get the choice to choose between a $46 cradle or a $62 cradle, bundled with A/V cables. It seems the cradle is a must product for PSP users and we welcome the idea, hopefully to be hitting our western shores – soon.

Sony has announced that the DualShock 3 game controller will go live in the US in April 2008. The SIXAXIS version was first released in Japan, a few months ago, and now it’s heading stateside. If you don’t have any plans to visit Tokyo with in a month, the DualShock 3 will be yours for $54.99.

Sony wants to turn the games purchase into an easy and approachable experience. The company has officially announced they are developing a wireless store for the PSP consoles, during the GDC conference. The store is expected to be similar to the wireless iTunes, located on iPhone and iPod Touch. Unfortunately, Sony has dropped the availability details, so i guess we all have to wait impatiently for any future announcements.
Recently, we have spotted some new Nintendo DS colors, hitting the market, but this one has stricken us with its modish elegant matte black exterior and shellac white interior. This rare DS Lite version is a result of an alliance between the highly esteemed designer, Hiroshi Fujiwara, and Japanese fashion magazine, Honeybee. Unfortunately, it is very very limited and located in Japan only, so you can pray to have one but the odds are really faint.
Microsoft inflames the masses, announcing games for Zune players, through XNA Studio 3.0. Although it is just an early announcement and most details are concealed, we know the games will be designed for both first and second Zune generation, with stress on trackpad capabilities in second-gen models. Zune owners will be able to play with their friends wirelessly, PSP style, though there are no plans for game sharing. XNA platform provides 2D graphics so don’t expect running Doom 3 or GTA IV on your Zune, but releasing a development kit might broaden the number of titles to offer. Korean company, MyRacer, introduced their latest portable gaming device, equipped with a 2.4-inch (320 x 240) display and a media player. Personally, i don’t think Sony has to be fearful for its PSP gaming consoles, but the MF101 does support AVI, MP3, WMA, WAV, JPEG and BMP. Additionally, it has 1GB internal flash memory, expandable SD slot and 2 keypads on both sides. The MF101 sports a flash interface and supports Adobe Flash-based games. The device is available in S.Korea for 104$.
This mysterious teaser snappily appeared on PS3 official site for a very short time, alluding messaging capabilities support for the game console. If this info is real, and we assume it is, PS3 users finally get voice and video chat services, allowing them to connect with their friends whenever they pop up online or during a game. No doubt, Sony has big plans for its PSP game console. Turns out the company develops a new PSP-style phone, trying to play in the mobile court, as we read in Sony Magazine. For the time being, it is only available through network update for PSP-2000 models, but the new firmware expands the Playstation Network support to all models – Rock on.

For those who always wanted to utilize their PC keyboard gaming abilities on their game consoles, XFPS created a special designated adapter that enables users to hook any keyboard or mouse, directly to their Sony PS, and start kicking those creepy zombies. Recent speculations, concerning Skype application on the PSP console are becoming reality. Sony announced the availability of Skype on PSP, at the end of this month. Once the new firmware is released and installed into the device, a small Skype icon will pop up in the network section and users will be able to login with their Skype account or create a new one. As other Skype users, PSP owners will have the privilege to talk freely with their Skype friends, make calls to any regular phone or receive calls on their PSP device. Mind you, this will work only on a PSP Slim devices.
This new formation requires a designated microphone, to enable users make or receive calls on their PSP. A Japanese website, Famitsu, unveiled a designed PSP mic, together with some presumably pictures of the new interface.

Good news for Sony PSP owners, the new PS3/PSP firmware update, enables PS1 games to be played on the PSP device, through a new “Remote Play” add-on feature.
Once you installed firmware version 3.40 to your PS3 console, you can download any PS1 game into it (via the online store) and play on the portable PSP with the remote play application. In addition, the new firmware adds DivX and WMV video support to the PS3.
