Whether you’re an artist, a blogger, a mom or just a business owner, looking to be productive and efficient, the Asus team seems to have a brand new Windows 7 slate to offer. That’s right folks, there is a new player on the field and it plays for all the marbles. With a 12.1-inch display and a Core i5 processor on board the new high-end Eee Slate combines Microsoft’s Windows 7 platform along with Wacom’s digitizer technology and a special dedicated whitish stylus pen to design and execute your very own storyline through drawing and rendering shapes, figures and models. Asus “Eee Slate” EP121 Video Teaser Highlights Windows 7, 12-Inch Display and HD support

CES 2011 is just around the corner, and companies are starting to throw some chum in the proverbial waters. In a new one-and-a-half-minute video that recently showed up across the pond, Asus is teasing us with its most anticipated 12-inch Windows 7-based tablet, which according to officials, is set to take off  in exactly eleven days, at the most famous electronic show around the world. We’re still not sure whether this is the EP121 tablet we’ve already seen earlier this year, or something completely new that the Taiwanese have been working on, behind the scenes, for a couple of months or even more. One way or another, the pictures below clearly indicate that Asus’ next “Eee Slate” device will be packing a Core i5 Intel processor, along with an HDMI output, usb port, an integrated webcam, SD card reader and a Microsoft office package that the laptops-giant is planning to preload on board. And this is just a teaser, remember? Make sure to checkout the footage half past the break.

Update1: Asus has launched a new teaser for their upcoming Android tablets, the Eee Pad and Eee Slate, with what appears to be a USB 3.0 port, etched into the chassis, along with some sort of a portrait oriented slide-out keyboard panel, accompanied by a batch of Android buttons, stamped onto its top. Nothing official yet, but it definitely looks like the real thing, this time. Image after the break.

Update2: And…we have another teaser from Asus. This time we’re talking about time couple of images featuring the company’s upcoming tablets lineup, pictured in all its glory. The first device in that series appears to be the EP121 that presumably boasts some sort of a stylus pen along with a wireless keyboard support. Up next, is the EP102 with that fancy keyboard, attached into a sliding touchscreen, and then we have the EP101 which looks quite similar, only as a netbook form factor. And last but not least, the EP71 -that seems to be a basic fundamental of any media player. Wanna see them? hit the jump and check ’em out.

ASUS 12-inch and 10-Inch Eee Pads Now Official, Win 7 And Intel CULV CPU Onboard (Update: Eee Pad EP101TC)

We have previously reported a rumor about a future Asus Eee Pad devices, and today the rumor starts floating again, apparently becomes official. Basically, there seem to be at least two different models of this coming slate – a 12-inch tablet (AKA: EP121), boasting Intel’s Core 2 Duo CULV processors and running a Windows 7 platform for the OS, that is paired with a 10-hour battery pack, one integrated USB 2.0 hub and built-in webcam, while second version, the EP101TC, is a 10-inch capacitive tablet running Windows Embedded Compact 7 platform for the OS and some sort of a Tegra chipset for graphics handling. Both versions are said to have optional docking cradle for keyboard use with Q1, 2011 as a target release and prices ranged between $399 to $499 at most. Engadget’s Joanna Stern hands on video after the break.

Update: Word on the street is that Asus has apparently ditched the idea of having a Windows Embedded Compact 7 OS onboard in favor of Google’s Android platform – either Froyo or Gingerbread (Android 3.0), we still don’t know. As a matter of fact, it appears that the Taiwanese company is currently working on few updated prototypes that should eventually run Mountain View’s operating system onboard, whenever out, next year, at Computex 2011.

iTablet Gets Released In The UK, Packs Everything The iPad Doesn’t Have

Now that Apple’s iPad has finally turned official and gone into mass production, it seems just a matter of time until new tablet machines would rise and shine in geeks world and closely watched in months to come. And one UK company that didn’t wait long (’till Apple’s newcomer goes live)  and recently taken wraps off its latest greatest pride, the iTablet, is X2 Computing that offers a 10.2-inch widescreen TFT or 12.1-inch widescreen XGA – both touchscreens at 1024 x 768 resolution – due to start shipping with Windows or Linux OS in April 2010, for an undetermined price. Basically, these iTablets pack most things we wanted to see in Cupertino’s iPad but couldn’t find, like three USB ports, optional HDMI output, 1.3-megapixel webcam, multi-tasking and out-of-the-box integrated flash support. Besides that you suppose to see other included specs like Intel’s 1.6GHz processor, paired with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G connection, white, grey, pink, blue, red, yellow or black flavors and up to 250GB of storage onboard. Stay tuned for more.

Update: Word on the street says that both versions are sized at 35mm thick, which explains the big storage capacity offered, but sounds bulky, in our opinion. This way or another we’ll have to wait and see.

First Crunchpad Tablet PC Images Go Live

First, we’d like to send our regards and appreciation to Michael Arrington from TechCrunch for turning this $200 Crunchpad Tablet PC project – viable, with a great dedication and a true desire to assist the tech scene by releasing a low price tablet device for internet purposes mainly, but for other uses as well, thanks to the 12-inch touchscreen, built-in speakers, integrated camera / microphone and some other goodies that are still hidden. Although the upcoming machine will probably cost a bit higher than expected (around $299), it sure looks awesome and we do hope to have our hands on it, once this project is finished. Meanwhile, you’ll have to settle with the new images that popped out in the wild.

Update: While still waiting for Crunchpad devices to go live, Seesmic’s general manager, Loic Lemeur, was sniffing around TechCrunch offices, giving the unboxing treatment to a first and nearly finalized prototype of the tablet, which suppose to be available hopefully “this year”. Checkout the video after the break.

Update2: And if the outside look wasn’t enough, we’ve just added another video, courtesy of TechCrunch, featuring a preliminary sneak peek into Crunchpad’s fresh UI. Hit the break to see the full video.

Update3: Singapore newspaper, The Straits Times, says that Arrington’s Crunchpad tablet is expected to be out by November of this year, including a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, together with 1GB of RAM, a USB hub, a built-in WiFi, 3G connectivity and and a SIM slot – priced around $400. Stay tuned for the official announcement.

Update4: Looks like Arringtone’s Crunchpad  won’t make it out eventually, due to major disputes with Fusion Garage (Arrington’s main partner on the project), that wanted to cut TechCrunch out of the project and continue with it on their own. This highly anticipated tablet machine was actually suppose to go out on November 20th of this year, but will probably end up in court with “multiple lawsuits” about to be filed from both sides. Either it’s the definitive end or just a milestone in Arringtone’s pretentious project, time would tell. Meanwhile, you can read the full story right here.

Lenovo's S20 Netbook Is Rumored To Be Released With a 12-Inch Display And Atom N280 Processor

Nothing much to tell, but seems like Lenovo plans to launch its IdeaPad S20 netbook with a 12-inch display, somewhere this year. The rumored S20 will join the already-exist S10 version which carries a 10-inch frame, but screen size aside, the new model is expected to pack an Atom N280 processor instead of the N270 inside the S10. Additionally, the S20 will carry Intel’s GN40 chipset, together with the usual Windows XP onboard. Still no word on exact date release but looks like the bundle will be priced at around NT$20,000 (US$586). Stay tuned.

Asus S121 Netbook Looks Like The S101, Only With a 12" Display

When AsusTek first introduced the slim S101 netbook, we were very impressed from the lavish design but not from the expensive price tag. Now the Taiwanese rolls out the S121 version, which keeps the thin high-end shape but adds more size to the screen, as the new model boasts a 12.1-inch 1024 x 600 display, together with a presumed Intel Atom N270, 1GB of RAM, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0 and 1.3MP camera. The rest of the specs are practically vague, but we do hope for an integrated 3G conection and hybrid SSD/HDD storage combined inside. Price wise, it’s not going to be cheap if you were looking for a bargain.

Update1: Turns out the new Asus S121 comes with an Intel Atom Z520 CPU a giant 512GB SSD drive, which turns it into the world’s first netbook with 512GB capacity. Still no word on price or availability.

Update2: Apparently, the S121 with the 512GB SSD flavor will be yours for a staggering price of $1,649, while the 120GB HDD version will set you back for “just” $899.
