Nokia Introduces The New N97 Flagship Smartphone

Nokia unveils the N97 3G Quad-Band HSDPA phone, that is considered to be the next flagship device, coming from the Finn giant. The new N97 packs, a 3.5-inch, 640 x 360 touchscreen (16:9 ratio), a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a microSD slot and 32GB of memory inside. This top-notch handheld, which carries the title “world’s most advanced mobile computer”, has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivities, along with 3.5-mm headjack, A-GPS, and a strong battery that can provide up to 1.5 days of continuous playback or 4.5-hours of high-quality video. Naturally, there’s a 5MP built-in camera with Carl Zeiss glass and Symbian S60 5th Edition OS, to handle all those advanced features. It is scheduled to go live somewhere in the first half of 2009, for €550 ($693), excluding taxes. Meanwhile, checkout the videos after the break.

BenQ Aries2 S6 MID Goes Live In Italy

The new BenQ S6 Mobile Internet Device makes a debut right on time, via Italian carrier TIM, with a 4.8-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen and a powerful 800MHz Atom MID processor, to handle the 3G 7.2Mbps HSDPA. It features a 2GB SSD drive, 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi connectivity, adorned in a small 159 x 89 x 22mm, 330gm package. To get this amazing Linux Midinux-based device, you’ll have to shell out €429 ($626), which means, giving up your next laptop procurement. Still, it looks like a top-notch portable machine with endless capabilities, the kind we’d like to see in our hands.

IFA 2008: LG X110 Netbook Shows Up With Built-In 3G HSPDA Capabilities

LG has decided to jump into the netbooks trend, introducing the X110 UMPC at the IFA 2008 in Berlin, coming up with almost an identical MSI Wind design, but also with some pretty neat features, including built-in 3G HSPDA and GPS capabilities (optional) that can make our internet life much easier when it comes to out-of-wifi places. In addition, the new X110 packs a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 8.9-inch display (1024×600), 120GB storage capacity (optional 6GB SSD), WLAN 802.11 b/g, 1GB of RAM and more. It runs Windows XP operating system and expected to be released in Europe at the end of September for €399 up to €499 ($590 up to $740), not so cheap prices, compared to the competitors, but with a top-notch technology.
