Transcend To Introduce The New T-Sonic 615 DAP

From time to time, we try to expose some other mp3 players rather than the iPod gang. This time, it is the new T-Sonic 615 from Transcend, coming up with 1-inch OLED display (128 x 64), internal flash memory, housing either 2GB or 4GB capacities, an FM tuner, 7EQ, USB2.0 connection and more. It supports MP3, WAV, WMA file formats, weights 28 grams and comes in white hull or light green flavors. As for battery life, it can play 15 hours of continuos audio. Release date is not clear but we do know that the new T-Sonic 615 will cost $60 for the 2GB version or $73 for the 4GB.

Samsung YP-S2 MP3 Player Hits Amazon

The new YP-S2 DAP from Samsung has finally reached Amazon, introducing nice black flavor with glowing green at the bottom, 1GB internal memory and rechargeable battery. It boasts a pebble shaped design, 10 hours of continuous playback and MP3 / WMA audio support, all coming with a reasonable $39.99 price tag. Now it’s your call to decide either you like it or not.

JVC To Introduce The New Alneo XA-V MP3 Players Lineup

Japanese company JVC continues creating more electronic products, this time it’s a new mp3 players lineup named Alneo XA-Vxx, including 3 devices with storage capacity ranged from 2GB up to 8GB. All players feature a 2-inch display screen (220 x 176), 2 built-in speakers, K2 audio-enhancing technology, 5EQ band and battery that provides 6 hours of video or 25 hours of audio. The players support MP3, WMA, WMV, JPEG file formats and already available in Asia in red, white, black or blue flavors for $230   (8GB model).

iRiver Announces The Release Of The New T7 Volcano DAP

For those of you who prefer a nice small DAP for jogging, without the video or internet elements, iRiver introduces the new T7 Volcano MP3 player, coming up in Black, Pink, Blue, White or Chocolate flavors, with a price ranged between $54 for the 2GB version up to $77 for the 4GB capacities. This small colorful player features a 4 lines OLED display, a USB 2.0 port, 7 EQ, and an FM tuner to listen to your favorite stations. In addition it supports basic formats like MP3, WMA, ASF and Ogg, as dimensions stand on 84 × 26 x 11mm for 26.3 g, so if you think it is the right player for your needs, you can get one in Asia or Europe right now (hopefully to be available in the US soon).

Newman To Introduce The Cool Man Mp3 Player

Cool Man? where’s the dude? oh…it is the latest DAP from Newman, equipped with a basic OLED display, a built-in mic and a miserable 1GB+ storage capacity. Additionally, it supports wma/mp3 formats and has this weirdy safety pin on the backside like those band pins, we used to collect, back at the 80’s. No word on price or availability, but who’d like to have this one anyway? well…maybe DAP collectors.

Yoto To Introduce The M300 Touchscreen PMP

Chinese company Yoto has announced the release of the new M300 PMP, coming with a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen (400 x 240) and compatible with Windows 2000 or Windows XP only (No support for Vista or OS X ?). The new multimedia player features, 5 EQ, an E-book reader, a built-in speaker, SD card expansion and USB2.0 interface. It plays wide variety of codecs, including MPEG4 AVI, DIVX, RM, XVID, RMVB, FLV, MP3, WMA, FLAC, APE, JPEG, BMP and GIF file formats. No information on price or availability, but we have ambiguous feelings about this one – touchscreen: we like, codecs support: we like, design: we like, OS support: we don’t like, Storage: we don’t like, Reliability: Not so sure, bottom line, we need more info to settle down.

The New BK-818 MP3 Player Supports 100 Hours Of Continuous Playback

Chinese company Boke introduces the new BK-818 MP3 player, that can play up to 100 hours of continuous playback and will cost you only $28.49. This small colorful player has a hard plastic body and a stainless steel frame. It features 4 lines OLED display, 1GB of memory, and FM tuner to listen to your favorite stations. In addition it supports basic codecs like MP3, WMA, WAV and TXT, so if you’re into a cheap device that can last a flight across the globe, the BK-818 might be the right solution.

Cassette MP3 Player Revitalizes Old Formats

For some people, it’s hard to forget old music formats like cassettes and records, so they keep them somewhere at the attic and take a peek once a year. Now they can actually have them, for a daily use, with the new cassette player, features an MP3 player built into a standard cassette tape that can be used as a standalone old-school music player or with any in-car radio cassette device. MobiBlu Cube3 Player Introduced

mobiblue-cube3I’m not so sure if MobiBlu is still a dominant player in the DAP arena but the size of its players gives a great advantage, comparing to others. This time the company releases the Cube3 player with a tiny OLED display and a foursquare body, measured at 25 x 25 x 25 mm – 18gm. The new player features a storage capacity ranged from 512MB to 2GB, an FM tuner, a built-in microphone, 8EQ, and USB 2.0 interface. It is compatible with PlaysForSure content and supports MP3, OGG, WMA, MSV, JPG, MSJ files. The Cube3 is set to be released in May 1, for $99, so hold your breath to get a dice.

Nike + SportBand Trainer Goes Live Officialy

After many rumors floating around, the Nike+ SportBand device is coming up on April 10, for $59. This cool device provides (for those who’d prefer not to have an iPod player when they run) a real-time performance feedback during a run, including distance, pace, time and calories burned, in order to assist improving the training results by providing a simple link to the world’s largest running club on nikeplus.com. Furthermore, runners can get access to their own personal online trainer with Nike+ Coach, to build their own training programs and empower their levels. I just hope this new Nike product will make you all, couch potatoes, get  on your feet and start training.

Philips To Unveil The SA2825 MP3 Player With Front Click Buttons

Philips introduces the SA2825 MP3 player, coming with a 4 lines OLED display, an aluminum mirrored steel body, and front-panel touch buttons (like iriver D-click). The new player features an FM tuner, 7 EQ, a built-in mic for voice recording and USB 2.0 interface. In addition, it houses 1GB, 2GB or 4GB storage capacity and supports MP3, WMA, WAV music formats. Available in black and silver, this nice jewelery-sized device is compatible with Philips latest FullSound technology that can play up to 22 hours of quality audio. No word about price or availability.

Panasonic D-Snap SV-SD870N Features 100 Hours Of Continuous Play?

Probably yes, the new Panasonic D-Snap lineup can reach up to 100h of play, on a single charge. The reason is within the noise cancellation feature, allowing you to save 83% of surrounding noise, which influence power reduction. The players feature a monochrome OLED display, an SD / SDHC card slot, USB 2.0 and direct recording function via the D-dock device. They support MP3, WMA, AAC formats and set to be released in red, blue, silver, black or white. If you like what you see, you can get one, bundled with a 2GB SD card around April.

Samsung Intros The New YP-S3 MP3 Player

The guys at Shiny Shiny have spotted another new mp3 player at the Samsung Showcase 2008. This time it’s the slim YP-S3, coming up in glowing white, blue, red and green hues, somewhere around June. The new YP-S3 features touch sensitive buttons, 2GB / 4GB or 8GB storage size, a 1.8-inch TFT LCD screen (which is a tad scrubby), an FM tuner, MP3 and WMA audio support, 30 hours of battery life and more. No word on price, but this YP-S3 looks exactly like the YP-S5 player, without the speakers. Check the video after the break.

iRiver Unveils The New E100 Chocolate DAP

The guys at Akihabara News have managed to put their hands on the iRiver E100 Chocolate. The new player features a 2.4-inch screen, microSD slot, a built-in stereo speaker, FM tuner and 2GB to 8GB storage size. It is compatible with audio formats as MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, FLAC, video formats like MPEG4, WMV9, XVID and image formats, including JPEG, BMP, PNG, and GIF. The E100 comes in white, black, pink, light blue and the chocolate brown, and weights 59.3gm. No word on price or availability.
