iRiver Spinn Gets Price Cut

We’re not sure either it’s just a holidays gift or recession circumstances, but Korean company, iRiver, has decided to cut the Spinn‘s expropriated prices and make them more affordable for the audiophiles. Thus, you get a chance to buy the 4GB player for $189.99 ($10 cut) or the 8GB version for $229.99 ($20 cut). Expect changes to take place starting from today.

Update: it seems these price cuts will include the E100 and the LPlayer.

iRiver LPayer: First Look

iRiver has created a lot of buzz, at the CES show, back in January. Now the company starts releasing the players, one by one. This time it’s the new LPlayer mini-PMP, coming with a 2.0? 262K Color LCD (320×240) and 2GB/4GB/8GB storage capacity flavors. In addition, the new sleeky small player features a built-in microphone, 5EQ, and d-click control interface, using 4 directional buttons located on the edge of each side of the screen. It supports MPEG4 SP / WMV9 SP / XVID SP video formats, MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, FLAC audio formats and JPEG / BMP / PNG / GIF image files along with a TXT reader. The LPlayer comes with two basic themes, sized at 60.0 x 43.0 x 13.0mm – 41.2g and houses relatively weak battery that can last 3 to 3.5 hours of video or 10 to 11 hours of audio. Overall, the iRiver LPlayer looks like a nice solid player with tiny clean design, offering all the basic features you need. The player is already available in the US. Prices are $110 for the 4GB version or $160 for the 8GB version. Checkout the video after the break.
