Samsung’s NB30 Pro Netbook Officially Announced

Samsung rolls out an updated version of their popular NB30 netbook, that includes more powerful components and a few cosmetic changes over its predecessor. The new boy, known as the NB Pro, boasts that same Atom N450 processor inside, paired with a basic 10.1-inch 1024×600 display, up to 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, three USB 2.0 ports, WiFi, Intel GMA 3150 for the graphics, Windows 7 Professional Edition and a battery pack, claimed to deliver up to 6.5 hours of continuous work. It will run for $519 (expensive!) once available, somewhere towards the end of next month.

Samsung NB30 Netbook Gets The Touchscreen Flavor

Think you have enough money to spend on yet another netbook device? In that case, make sure you check the latest version of Samsung’s touchscreen-enabled NB30, which somehow remains pretty much the same as its previous standard NB30 model, cramming Atom N450 processor inside, with 1GB of RAM, 160GB/250GB hard drive,Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, 3-in-1 memory card reader and Windows 7 Starter Edition on top of the chart. This one, however, comes installed with a non-reflective 10.1-inch 1,024 x 600 touchscreen, instead of the regular one, adding $160 on top of its original value, or €399 (about $540) instead of just  €279 ($380) you’ll have to pay for the basic non-touchscreen can. Samsung's New Atom N450 Lineup Includes N210, N220, N150 and NB30 netbooks

It’s Samsung’s turn to officially come out and introduce its latest Pine Trail Atom N450 lineup (although we’ve already seen the N220 across the pond) which includes the N210, N220, N150 and NB30 netbooks – all to include Intel’s Atom N450 processor, together with a a 10.1-inch anti-reflective display and a very unique mark-and-scratch resistant casing , to protect your netbook from dirt and smudges. Other than that, what makes this new series so special is the battery life, that somehow manages to surprise with long working life for every single charge. The N210 and 220 versions are claimed to reach 12 hours of “connected mobility”, while the NB30 will get you up to 11 hours and the N150 “only” 8.5 hours. Three out of the four netbooks don’t have an integrated hinge at the far end of the chassis, but the N150 does have one. As the NB30 is the only machine that includes HDD protection sensor and a water-resistive coat (up to 50cc) – just in case, you know. PR announcement after the break.
