Korean giant Cowon has recently released yet another touchscreen device to the Asian market, called V5 HD. Now, don’t make any mistake here, it’s not a tablet, a slate or a courier, just a small 4.8-inch PMP device with a slick White/Black body frame and crispy resistive display on top. It can easily handle 720p files without stuttering, but that of course can only be achieved through HDMI or Composite outputs the player boasts. In addition it supports wide range of audio and video formats, but storage capacity is quiet limited, up to 32GB only. That said, it’s still possible to store files inside the integrated SDHC expansion slot, so things aren’t as bad as they initially looked. Battery wise, you get 10 hours of video or 45 hours of music, while operating system – Windows CE 6.0 – packs myriad apps preloaded, amongst you’ll find an RSS reader, a world clock, voice recorder, Flash games and what appears to be a tradition, T-DMB tuner. Prices, if you’re asking, start at merely 299,000 KRW (about $255), but if you need more incentives to make a decision, hit the jump and take a look – a nice UI walkthrough video is right there.
