Fujitsu’s Windows 7 Tablet Prototype Spotted at CEATEC 2010

Though still only in the prototype stages, Fujitsu’s Windows 7 tablet looks brilliant, but rumor has it that it won’t be coming out for the next couple of months. And while details remain scarce, and screen is just a fake printed glossy sticker, all that is left to do is keep our fingers crossed and hope hope and hope.

Update: A batch of new photos indicate that Fujitsu’s upcoming tablet will probably boast WiFi, Bluetooth, one single HDMI output and 3 x USB ports. Up front, there’s some sort of a “Home” button, while top right corner is seemingly boasting this wireless “on/off” switch, along a finger prints recognition system and a “rotation lock”. Stay tuned

Windows Phone 7 Series Gets a Neat Tablet Concept To Hold Onto

Here’s something that Redmond guys could actually use as their next tablet creation – and rest assure that Microsoft will have one eventually, whether you’d call it tablet, slate or a courier. Created by a designer called Umang Dokey, this nice looking Windows Phone 7 tablet concept is definitely something we could literally envision in our geeky minds, coming out somewhere in the next 24 months, with a bunch of easy-to-use tiles, constructed in one screen, one place, panning free. We don’t really know if those dual joysticks at the back of the device could actually feet Microsoft’s futuristic doctrine, but the flipping kick stand that turns into a viable QWERTY keyboard would probably be a nice add-on to have. Check it out for yourself by hitting the jump and watching the video right after the break.

Kohjinsha Dual-screen Netbook Concept Is For Real (Update: Now On sale)

Well, we didn’t expect this one, but it seems you can find whatever you want at the CEATEC show, that takes place in Japan these days. The object you’re looking at was recently spotted at the Kohjinsha tech booth by Akihabaranews team and seems to boast the “prototype” status at the moment. Besides that, Kohjinsha’s futuristic model packs two 10.1-inch TFT LCD screens at either 1024 x 600 or 1366 x 768 resolution, and can be used jointly and severally. Other than that, you get inside a cool swiveling base, along with some strong specs that include an AMD Athlon MV-40 processor, paired with a 160GB hard drive, up to 4GB of RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium onboard. Regretfully, at this point, we have no price or release dates to share, but be sure we’ll be there to bring them on whenever they get shown.

Update1: It seems to happen faster than expected – as we now hear that Kohjinsha’s 10-inch dual-screen netbook goes on sale these days with a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo processor and RS780MN chipset onboard, both sitting next to an ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, a 3-in-1 card reader, 1.3MP webcam, 3 X USB hubs, WiFi, 1GB of RAM and same capacity drive, standing at 160GB of storage. Battery suppose to deliver up to 4.5 hours of work, while weight is surprisingly light for the overall package, 4.09 pounds (1.84 kg) only. Shipping is set to start 3 weeks from now, worldwide, as prices start with a ¥95,800 ($1,110) package that includes a Linux version, and climb up to ¥100,800 for the Windows 7 Home Premium flavor. Get it now if you need a portable multiple action in your hands.

Update2: As you already know, first comes the release, then the unboxing, and the guys at Wow Pow were one of the firsts to take Kohjinsha’s dual-screen netbook for a roundup, in which they share their preliminary thoughts. Hit the break to see their video.

Xbox 360 Portable Concept Introduced

I’m sure Microsoft is planning a portable Xbox 360 device; after all, if Sony can develop one, Redmond can do it as well. Meanwhile, until it happens, we have a chance to look at an interesting portable concept that was emerged on T3 magazine, opening our appetite and our gaming imagination. This handheld concept features an all-in-one device, including a Microsoft Zune, XBox 360 and a mobile phone, packed in a sexy slim and sleek case, with gaming buttons on the right side and directions pad to the left. Honestly, I will be stoked having only an Xbox 360 portable device without the phone or the Zune included, so if people from Microsoft are listening, we do yearn for one of those.

Alienware Futuristic Android Phone

Alienware’s powerful machines are known for many years. Yet, only recently, has the concept of galactic designs been put into practice and inspired the company to join forces with Dell in order to create an alien phone concept, running an Android OS platform inside, with a blue glowing grill and a slider shape structure from the outside. Sensitive touch keys and navigation joystick are part of the deal as well, but prices and availability are still missing. Connection between galaxies seems imminent.
