Apparently, Asus wants your kids to get into the portable netbook world from early stages of their life, otherwise how can you explain the new project the company is launching in collaboration with Disney, which suppose to go live, for $350, somewhere this year under codename Netpal. In terms of specs, the netbook itself packs an 8.9-inch display, along with 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive (16GB SSD optional), 802.11 WiFi connection and “Princess Pink” or “Magic Blue” external colors at your choice. Additionally, the kids will get a friendly Disney interface, customizable Disney character themes, and other Disney widget apps to play around, with their parents fully in charge. Update2: Looks like Disney’s Neptal 8.9-inch netbook is finally up for pre-order on Amazon, priced at $350 and scheduled to be delivered somewhere next week.
