Word on the street is that Samsung is in the works to launch a new 8-inch iPad Mini killer tablet. So far it’s just a rumor, yet a plausible one, considering a new set of leaked images, exclusively reported by dday.it. A quick look at the photos reveals a slab-shaped whitish device, probably around the 7/8-inch range, with a silver-tone Samsung branding framed on top. At this point, I think it’s for you to decide whether the pictures are real or not, but keep in mind that there is a Sammy plan to launch an 8-inch tablet, under the name of the Galaxy Note. The specs, if you were wondering, include an 8-inch 1280 x 800 Super Clear TFT display, paired with a Jelly Bean platform for the internal OS, 2 gigs of RAM, two cameras at 1.3/5 megapixels, and a 1.6 Ghz Quad Core Processor. We look forward to hearing more about it at the 2013 MWC show in Barcelona, next month. In the meantime, you can hop on past the break and read what you get in the box.
