ViewSonic's Atom N280 VNB101 Netbook Shows Up in Taiwan

Surprisingly, non of us has actually seen a lot of netbooks action from ViewSonic, but clearly it was just a matter of time until the company will take first steps into this crowded market, and it finally did, with recent announcement, indicating a new VNB101 machine that suppose to include Intel’s Atom N280 processor, along with a 10.2-inch 1024×600 display, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, a 3400mAh Lithium-Polymer battery, an optional 3G SIM card hub and either red, black or champagne colors to choose from – All priced around $485 in Taiwan. Not sure when this new device will make any appearance Stateside, but meanwhile, you can take a look at Netbooks News first video hands-on after the break.

Update: Viewsonic has also released an entry level netbook, the VNB100, which is an Atom-based device, paired with similar specs like its VNB101 sibling, with optional ExpressCard slot and built-in 3G modem.
