LG Pad Spotted On a Roadmap Slide, Claimed To Run Android Honeycomb and Dual-Core Tegra 2 Chipset

While it is still elusive and might be harder to track down compared to any other tablet on the prep these days, LG’s Optimus Pad is now widely reported to go live in the first quarter of 2011, running a dual-core Tegra 2 chipset inside, along with Android’s next-gen version, Honeycomb, for the OS. According to the company’s roadmap slide, this 8.9-inch device, described by a senior official as a “tablet PC-version”, is likely to be a “superior” machine (whatever that means) with what they call “thinner and lighter” measures. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until next year to see if this “whole thing” is for real or just another PR blurbs.

Dell Inspiron Duo Gets a New Video Teaser

Remember that Dell Inspiron Duo we’ve seen not too long ago at Intel’s IDF 2010 summit? Well, now it has an official video teaser demo, which mainly focuses on the 10.1-inch tablet and the way it can be handled both in JBL speaker or netbook attachment modes. And, while this short 35-second footage doesn’t tell you very much at all about the package itself or any other specs this cool device boasts, we do like the ending part of it and to be more specific: the “coming soon” title that hints towards a possibility of a close and viable release or at least another glimmer of hope.

Archos 70 Internet Tablet Officially Live For $279

As previously mentioned, Archos has slowly started to roll out its most recent Android tablets/PMPs series with new devices coming out every day, with different form factors but a similar operating system – Android Froyo that is. And while most Archos products to date have carried resistive touchscreens on board, its latest and greatest, Archos 70 tablet, is reportedly packing a 7-inch (800 x 480) capacitive display which hopefully will give you a better and a lot more friendly multitouch experience results. This $279 package offers a powerful 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, along with an OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics accelerator, a front-facing VGA camera, 8GB of flash storage, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity, and microSDHC card slot. Regretfully, there’s no access to Android Market, but the French company is likely to hook you up with the AppLib store – an Android app scene of its own.

Creative Announces a 7 and 10 Inch Ziio Android Tablets

Oh look who decided to join the Android tablets bandwagon, none other than Creative. About time guys, but what’s with those sluggish resistive displays? Why aren’t we going capacitive, eh? Alright, enough with those self-proclaimed mumblings – let’s dive into the details, shall we? From the few published info, we know that there are two Ziio tablets: One at 7-inch (480 x 800) and the second with a 10-inch (1024 x 768) display – Both are running Android 2.1 platform, both are packing a ZiiLabs ZMS-08 processor, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and microSD slot. Not due out until December of 2010, the first model (7-inch) will run you for €229 (8GB) or €259 (16GB) while the second, the 10-incher, is priced at €289 (8GB) or €319 (16GB) and not a single penny more.

Archos 43 Slate Now Available For $250

It’s been two months already since Archos officially announced a new package of products, comprised of Android-powered tablets and personal media players, and today is the day that we finally get to see some of them going live across the US market. As a matter of fact, it’s the new Archos 43 PMP that we speak about (The Archos 32 version continues to be available), which for those who are still unfamiliar with it, runs an Android 2.2 platform and packs a 4.3-inch touchscreen along a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, rear 720p camera, 16GB of storage, an HDMI output and expandable microSD slot. Sure, it also boasts a WiFi connectivity on board, but to get a chance to play with it, you’ll have to wire transfer $249.99 and not a single dime extra from your pocket.

Viewsonic Rolls Out New 7 and 10 Inch Viewpad Tablets Stateside

Viewsonic has made a bold move to dethrone Apple’s iPad in the US market. The Taiwanese company announced late yesterday it would launch two new Viewpad tablets – that will maintain the Viewsonic logo – sometime between November of this year and the first quarter of 2011. And while first model in that new series, the Viewsonic 7, is claimed to run the Android 2.2 platform, preloaded with Google apps and full access to Google’s Market, the second, Viewsonic 10, will boast Microsoft’s Windows 7 Home Premium OS along with a 1.66GHz Atom processor, 16GB SSD, and 1GB of RAM on board. The latter has a 10-inch capacitive display and is expected to retail for $629 while the smaller one, which runs for $479, will likely house a 7-inch touchscreen, paired with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, dual cameras (rear and front), and 3G connectivity support. Update1: Oh look, isn’t it the new ViewPad 7 tablet? YES. And looks like it’s already up on sale at Amazon.com, priced a little more than we’ve expected – $599(!). Is that for real or another one of those ‘let the early adopters pay the price and then we’ll make it cheaper?’

HP Slate 500 Officially Goes Live For $799

Surprise, surprise! The long-awaited HP Slate 500 is finally out. And while both official video (after the break) and prospects clearly indicate that HP is aiming the Slate at the enterprise and business market (like Medical services, Restaurants, etc.), in practice, anyone who’s interested in buying this 8.9-inch (1024×600) capacitive touchscreen monster, can easily log into HP’s online store and nab it for a staggering $799. No, it doesn’t have 3G connectivity included, nor replaceable battery or any special UI layer attached (onto the preloaded Win 7 Professional platform). But it does have WiFi, along with a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB SSD, rear 3MP camera and another one at 1.3 megapixels, up front. In addition to that, there’s also a powerful Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator for smooth handling of 1080p content, an SD card slot, a USB port, headphone jacks and a N-Trig active digitizer for those who’d like to take some notes. Advent’s 10-Inch Android Vega Tablet Introduced

Frankly speaking, we don’t even know if any of you is going to buy a non-branded tablet, do you? Nevertheless, we’re still very committed to bring them up into public view and give them a stage they would not normally have the chance to play. For instance, have a look at Advent’s most recently-announced Tegra-powered Vega tablet. I mean seriously, with a 10-inch (1024 x 600) capacitive display on top, paired with an HDMI output, WiFi, SD card reader, 512MB of RAM, 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra chipset, 1.3MP camera and Android 2.2 platform, running about 6.5 hours on average  – How wrong can you get? Not to mention it would cost only £249 (under $400) and will surely pump your high-def videos on your tele, stutter free. Where can I get one, you’re probably asking? Well…giant electronic retailer, Dixons is already offering this wild Android beast for sale on its UK stores, while the rest of us ordinary plebeians (from other continents) will have to settle for the hands-on videos right after the break.

Update1: Regretfully, the 10-inch Vega won’t have access to Google’s Android Market at the moment (maybe on January when Android 3 will go live). Instead, you’ll get the Archos AppsLib store, which offers around 5000 apps at any given moment.

Update2: It seems like there may be an Android Market solution after all. Thanks to the good guys over at MoDaCo, a tweaked ROM v1.04, which was specially designed and built for the 10-inch tablet, is now available to download in the source link  above, promising the same functionality but with most Google features inside, including voice search, GTalk, Gmail, Google maps and a full unrestricted Android Market access. ZTE Introduces The 7-inch ZTE Light Android Tablet

We’ve already seen the guys at ZTE trying to innovate their way around the MID section, and now it seem as if they’re trying hard for something that looks good and that specifically designed for the Android tablet low-mid department. With a bright 7-inch touchscreen and a Google Android 2.1 platform running under its rounded lid, the ZTE Light is definitely an eye catcher. And while we’re still unfamiliar with pricing, the Light which is rumored to be out pretty soon, has  some pretty darn good features to be proud of. For instance, it boasts an integrated GPS system along with a card reader, WiFi, 3G connectivity and battery pack delivering up to 10 hours of work. Archos 32 Tablet gets Android Market Hack

It was just a matter of time before somebody would pick up the gauntlet and put an Android Market access into the Archos 32 (and maybe some other devices) platform. Nothing official in here yet, but looks like one of Archosfans forum members has finally managed to hack the Android system, and tweak one of its files, the gApps4Archos.apk, in a way that should let you all free and direct access to Google’s app and Marketplace store. Mind you, it requires the latest 1.0.70 firmware installed, and the good news – it actually works!

Greenpois0n iOS 4.1 Jailbreak For Windows Users Released

It looks like jailbreaking season has finally started folks, with Apple’s iOS 4.1 most anticipated hack tool, “Greenpois0n”, officially been announced and released to the pond. And while still available just for Microsoft Windows users at the moment (Macs should wait or use VMware/VirtualBox apps to install), this latest update, courtesy of Chronic Dev Team labs, will shine only with Cupertino’s iPhone 4 / 3GS, iPod touch (3rd / 4th generations), and iPad 1st gen devices, already preloaded with iOS 4.1 firmware which turns to be vulnerable to George “geohot” Hotz recent limera1in USB boot ROM jailbreak exploit, that Steve Jobs is likely to block. On his next firmware roll out, that is, of course.

Update: Well…it didn’t take long for both Geohot and the guys at Chronic Dev Team to introduce their own proprietary Mac format into the market (limera1n and greenpois0n), each with varying degrees of advantages and disadvantages of its own. As always, proceed with caution and back up your stuff first, you just never know where troubles might come from.

Samsung NF310 Netbook With Dual-Core Atom N550 Processor Announced

Samsung has just taken the wraps off its next 10.1-inch Atom N550 netbook. The 2.87 pounds unit, also known as the NF310, will reportedly feature Intel’s dual-core processor, along with a nine hours battery, and a Windows 7 Starter platform for the preloaded OS. And while you do get hopes by noticing the screen resolution is at 1366 x 768 and that the GMA 3150 graphics is much stronger than its predecessors, the rest of the specs, which apparently include an 802.11b/g/n WiFi connection, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and 250GB of storage, will no doubt bring you right back down to earth when this $399 lappy goes live, somewhere this coming fall. Samsung Galaxy Tab To Cost $399 on Contract (Update: Verizon and Sprint Plans added)

Samsung has been very elusive and secretive about its pricing plans for the Galaxy Tab, but if the following T-Mobile slide should be proven to be real, then we’re looking at a $399 done deal tablet. Of course, you’ll have to sign-up for a new 2-year contract with the US carrier in order to get into a subsidized package, otherwise it would cost you a whopping $649.99 and would probably hurt your “already-empty” pockets.

Update1: US carrier Verizon has just announced that it will begin selling the new Samsung Android Galaxy Tab for $599.99, starting November 11th. Of course, if you want “data plans” then get ready to pay more – about $20 per month for 1GB – but for those who are using standard WiFi connection, a “few hundred bucks” looks like an insane amount of money one should be paying for. Update2: All right, folks, it looks like we’ve got ourselves a competition here, with a third US carrier, Sprint, to officially confirm its Samsung’s Galaxy Tab availability dates and prices, which for some “strange” reason look suspiciously similar to T-Mobile’s offer . The meaning is that Sprint is planning to charge $399 for the 7-inch Android Froyo tablet, along with a two-year compulsory contract (comprised from either a 2GB of data plan for $29.99 and a 5GB for $59.99) or $599.99 for take-and-go buyers, starting November 14th.

Update3: On the same note, rumor has it that Best Buy is going to sell a “WiFi-only” Galaxy Tab (no obligation) for $499.99 along with a black 3G model (Verizon) and a silver 3G model (Sprint) – both require either a 2 years contract or month-to-month plans.

Update4: T-Mobile just updated that the selling of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab will officially start on November 10th with prices at $399.99 on a two years contract, or $599.99 for those who’d like to buy and go. Full PR after the break.

Augen Rolls Out a New Android Tablet Lineup With Six Different Models

Augen’s tablet division has been very active lately. First, it was the company’s 7-inch Android 2.1 tablet…and now here they are again, ready to trailblaze the next major tablets evolution with six(!) different Android 2.2 “Espresso” / “Latte” contenders. And while some models are aiming for the low-mid markets, others are featuring some top-notch technologies on board. A primary part of the upper-class department includes two very interesting models: the Espresso Doppio and the Espresso Firma. The 10.2-inch Doppio, which runs for $599.99, appears to be this sort of netbook-tablet hybrid device hosting a 1024 x 768-capacitive touchscreen paired with a built-in accelerometer, and a 3mp camera on front. Digging inside, there’s a powerful 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 CPU, tucked with a 6000mAh battery, claimed to deliver up to 15 hours of work. The other thing that deserves mention is the bundled “hybrid” solution which comes in the form of a cool docking cradle that can instantly transform the Doppio into a portable seashell netbook while adding a backlit keyboard along with multitouch trackpad capabilities and 160GB of storage that enables bigger space for uploads. The Firma tablet, on the other hand, is substantially cheaper than previous version (only $349.99) and mainly based on a 7-inch platform with handwriting technology support. This result can be achieved thanks to this special ink pen stick that Augen is giving you as part of the box.

Nothing to really get excited about, but there are four additional tablets in Augen’s upcoming collection: The Latte, which runs for $199 and sports a 7-inch resistive touchscreen with 2GB of storage capacity to store. The $249.99 Latte Grande which strikes with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, accelerometer and an 800MHz processor, and the final two in this group, that apparently go under the Espresso lineup – one that will cost you $349.99 and is said to arrive with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen along an 8GB of internal memory, 3mp front-facing camera, and Cortex A9 processor, while the other, the $429.99 Espresso Dolce, that offers Cortex A8 CPU inside, with a 10.2-inch display, and a 1024×768 screen resolution. Fujitsu’s Windows 7 Tablet Prototype Spotted at CEATEC 2010

Though still only in the prototype stages, Fujitsu’s Windows 7 tablet looks brilliant, but rumor has it that it won’t be coming out for the next couple of months. And while details remain scarce, and screen is just a fake printed glossy sticker, all that is left to do is keep our fingers crossed and hope hope and hope.

Update: A batch of new photos indicate that Fujitsu’s upcoming tablet will probably boast WiFi, Bluetooth, one single HDMI output and 3 x USB ports. Up front, there’s some sort of a “Home” button, while top right corner is seemingly boasting this wireless “on/off” switch, along a finger prints recognition system and a “rotation lock”. Stay tuned

ASUS EeePad EP90 Tablet Pops Up In The Wild With Tegra 2 Inside

Remember this Asus Eeepad tablet lineup we’ve seen in Computex? Well folks, ​It looks like it’s going to take an 8.9-inch 1024×600 display, paired with a dual-core 1GHz processor and a Tegra 2 graphics to bring this one about. Though still unofficial, this 650g of sleek and sturdy body weight – supposedly called EeePad EP90 – is likely to house either 16 or 32GB of storage, while battery is said to deliver up to 6 hours of work. Other than that, and without knowing any price or availability details, it is not possible to say much more, but in general (whether it’d run Windows or Android platforms), you’ll probably get everything you expected, including an integrated webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, SD card reader, HDMI output and one single USB port. At this point we are still looking for a confirmation from the Taiwanese, and hope to stop back very soon and report.

Disgo Tablet 6000 Breaks Cover, Runs Android 2.1 On a 7-Inch Touchscreen

Something tells me it’s going to be one hell of an awesome year for Android-powered tablets. Well, I hope so, I really do. The good thing is that there are so many well known options out there, including Apple’s iPad, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, Blackberry’s Playbook and the latest newcomer, Dell’s 7-inch Android Froyo slate – Impressive, Isn’t it? Absolutely YES. But, at the same time, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that there are also some cheaper versions out there which boast that same nice looking frame, and in most cases come fully equipped with the best technology available in market. One of them is the Disgo 6000 that packs a 7-inch WVGA touchscreen display on top and runs an Android 2.1 platform under the lid. It’s super slick and measures only 14.6mm thick. There are two miniUSB ports attached along with WiFi b/g/n, a miniHDMI connection, 256MB of RAM, a microSD slot, a pair of integrated 0.5W speakers and last but not least, 2GB of internal storage, firmly placed on the middle of the board. As far as software goes, there’s no Android Market access. Instead, you’ll get the optional SlideMe version, already preloaded with a wowBook eReader, a Skyfire browser and a built-in YouTube viewer. Prices are listed at £179.99 ($285), while shipping and handling due to the end of this month.

Onkyo To Release Three Windows 7 Slates

OH! What’s this, another Windows 7 slate? Apparently yes – not one, but three different flavors. The manufacturing company in this case is Onkyo, and the hardware that’s being offered is pretty much the same across the entire line of new Japanese tablets. Screen sizes are at 11.6-inch and 10.1-inch, both featuring capacitive touchscreen displays, and while the TW317A5 and TW217A5 versions get 32GB SSD, the TW117A4 goes traditionally with a 160GB HDD of storage. The software, as mentioned earlier, is a Windows 7 Premium and the inner chipset on board appears to be an Intel atom N450 processor. Pricing and availability details are still not available, but you can be sure that we’ll let you know as soon as we do.

RIM’s PlayBook is The New BlackBerry Tablet

Hot on the heels of Apple’s iPad, there’s a new beauty prince hoping to make its name on the international stage in the form of RIM PlayBook – or in its most common name – the BlackBerry tablet. The newly crowned 7-inch (1024 x 600) capacitive touchscreen slate is planned to include a 1GHz dual-core processor and run along a specially designated BlackBerry Tablet OS. According to RIM’s CEO, Mike Lazaridis, who recently spoke at Research In Motion’s annual BlackBerry Developer Conference, the PlayBook would be “an incredible gaming platform for publishers and the players.” With a powerful Cortex A9 CPU inside, paired with 16GB / 32GB of storage capacity, a microUSB hub, HDMI, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth and 1080p HD video support, we – gadget junkies – have got now all the reasons to start believing and embrace the top executive words. It can easily play any Flash content or be used for video conference talks, thanks to the two integrated cameras – a 5 megapixel rear one, and another 3 megapixel up front. Dell teases With a New 7-inch Android Tablet Device

Michael Dell, one of the most influential CEOs in tech world, has just unveiled a 7-inch Android-powered tablet while going on stage at the Oracle conference event, Wednesday. Unfortunately, it was only a brief introduction without sufficient explanation or anything special to report, but the way it’s shown has me thinking the upcoming tablet is some sort of a larger version of the company’s 5-inch Streak which already made its way out to the market couple months before. In his words, the top executive manager said: “Of course, it’s nice to have a larger screen,” but refused to elaborate as to what exactly it was. At the meantime, until we get the nitty gritty info, you can gently hit the jump and catch up with Oracle’s recent video footage shot.

HP Slate Prototype Running Windows 7 OS Spotted In The Wild

It’s not that we haven’t seen it before, it just seems to be on the rebound and perhaps in a more tangible shot. And whether it’s the real upcoming Windows 7-powered  8.9-inch HP slate or not, it still boasts a very responsive touchscreen display and a smooth flash support. Hardware appears to remain pretty much the same and a detailed hands-on video is just behind the bottom spot.

Upgrade: Looks like x313xkillax, the guy who made the first hands-on preview (attached after the break) is back with yet another video (this time even more detailed) that is comprehensively displaying the alleged HP slate. Basically, according to his second video, we’re looking at a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 tablet which boasts an 8.9-inch WSVGA touchscreen along with a Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video accelerator, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 60GB of storage, SD card reader, 802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, two different webcams (3mp rear and 1.3mp up front) and a 2-Cell 30WHr Lithium-ion battery pack. As mentioned, Windows 7 Home Premium is running the entire operation on board and the tablet itself features a nice docking station and while browsing, even a pinch-to-zoom support. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Becomes Officially Official

Samsung has finally given it’s upcoming Galaxy Tab the final confirmation it needed. The South Korean giant says that the 7-inch Android 2.2 tablet will have strong presence in all four major US carriers – Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile – somewhere between October and November of this year, and that a WiFi-only version will be coming soon (probably at a cheaper price). At this time we are still unable to share any pricing details but specs wise, it seems you get a pretty good return on your investment, as lineup for this tasty bit of tablet technology includes a strong 1GHz Hummingbird processor, paired with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and another 3-megapixel one, etched behind, on its back. A Look Inside the ultra-slick Android slate unveils plenty of software sweets like Social Hub, Media Hub and a Daily Briefing aggregator, but given the fact it’s not just a simple rebaged tablet, Samsung will also be offering a tweaked TouchWiz layer along with the rest of the goodies that everyone likes inside the Google Android Froyo software. OpenPeak’s 7-Inch Android 2.2 Tablet Officially Unveiled

OpenPeak unveils a new 7-inch touch-screen device (AKA: OpenTablet 7) which runs an Android 2.2 (Froyo) platform on board and packs Intel’s powerful Moorestown chipset under the hood. And while licensing issues prevent users from getting access to Android Market or Google Apps, there seems to be plenty of gadgets-junkies willing to pay the price – which according to various sources ranged from $300 to $400 before it gets subsidized. What else in there? 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G connectivity and 5mp camera are all included inside. Availability is yet to be determined (somewhere around Q1 2011), but a quick hands-on video is just after the jump.

iOS 4.2 beta For iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad Now Available On Apple’s Developer Portal

Apple has just released a preliminary beta version of iOS 4.2 for developers (and their friends). The new update, which has gone live two weeks after official announcement is most effective when it is integrated and linked with Apple’s iPad tablets. Why? Because it enriches the iPad with most iOS4 notable capabilities and even more. For this matter, we talk mainly about multitasking, but you will also be able to find folders, better email app, imported calenders and other assortment of goodies, installed. In addition to that, Apple has also stated in its recent PR announcement (after the break) that iPad owners who tend to use HP printers with ePrint technology can also enjoy the AirPrint and AirPlay wireless printing support – very cool, isn’t it?

It’s day two at Intel’s IDF 2010 summit and it’s finally heating up, literally and metaphorically, as Dell officially announces a neat 10.1-inch swiveling netbook / tablet hybrid machine, running Windows 7 Premium for the OS and boasting Intel’s dual-core Atom N550 processor under the lid. Sure, we’ve already seen these kind of prototypes in the past (Lenovo anyone?), but nothing that could really make us satisfied like Dell’s new Inspiron Duo device. LuvPad AD100 Android 2.2 Tablet To Be launched in Japan

Another day, another Android tablet render. This one coming straight from Japanese company Mouse Computer that is offering to its local customers a 10.1-inch (1,024 x 600) Android 2.2 tablet with an integrated NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip for improved graphics handling and 512MB of internal memory, expandable via a microSD slot. WiFi support is also included in this ¥48,250 (about $575) package, as delivery time is probably going to be relatively short.

So Archos has a new “internet tablets” lineup, and the first model to roll out in the coming days will be the 3.2-inch Archos 32 – a mini tablet and a media player hybrid which runs for $149.99 and offers a 400 x 240 touchscreen display (resistive) that packs underneath an 800MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, along with 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, G-sensor, and Android 2.2 for the OS. No, it’s not as popular as Apple’s iPad or Samsung’s GalaxyTab but hey, it’s much cheaper than others and StreamTV , the company that has recently brought it Stateside, is promising a lot of goodies inside. And while it won’t come preloaded with Google apps on board, the slick 800 x 480 capacitive touchscreen device still worth a try. Why? Because it packs this powerful 1GHz Tegra II-720 processor that will run games and 1080p HD videos stutter free. Besides that, it also packs a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera, an SD card slot, WiFi, USB and HDMI ports – isn’t that cool? HP’s 7-Inch Zeen C510 Android Tablet Sprouts Out In The Wild

It’s probably too early to tell; at this point (pre-production stage) you can only rely on fishy rumors and murky tipsters to share. But as you may know, good news spread around pretty fast these days and someone, close enough to HP manufacturing division, apparently knows that pretty well. So what is it all about, you may ask? A new HP tablet – nothing that you haven’t already heard about, except the acknowledged unit (which was recently emerged in Asia) appears to be a near final 7-inch Zeen C510 Android 2.1 tablet – yes, an ANDROID tablet which is rumored to be part of a $399 printer bundle. And while there’s not much info about the hardware, software wise you get an integrated Email client along with Facebook, 60 Minutes, MSNBC, and Dreamworks apps preloaded as well. Oh, and there’s a printing app too, in case you wondered. Regretfully, it won’t go live solo, just bundled with this new HP PhotoSmart eStation C510 printer, but the price is pretty convenient, isn’t it?

Update1: HP just gone official with its latest Photosmart eStation printer which bundles a 7-inch Android 2.1 tablet inside and features a special customized Yahoo layer on top of the OS. And no, there is no access to Android Market, in case you wondered, no Gmail support and no special dedicated games included. Instead, you are likely to have a slew of Yahoo apps and widgets already preloaded, while Android 2.2 version is said to be released somewhere towards the holiday season. Hardware wise, there is a wifi connection on both machines (printer and tablet) and battery is claimed to deliver four to six continuous hours. Samsung’s Gives 10.1-inch N350 Netbook LTE and HSPA+ Support

Samsung is not just about tablets. As you can see, its range also contains some new ultra-portable laptop devices that blend in with the most contemporary technology such as 4G connectivity which Sammy has stuffed into its latest and greatest 10.1-inch N350 netbook, in the form of dual-mode LTE and HSPA+ support. Other than that, it’s basically what you’d expect from a lavish netbook these days, with this top-notch dual-core Atom N550 processor inside, paired with 250GB of storage, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, multi-card reader, a bunch of speedy USB hubs and a 3-cell battery that is claimed to deliver up to 6.7 hours of continuous work. Toshiba Folio 100 Now Official, Due Out in Q4

Hot on the heels of the tablet sphere, Toshiba’s 10.1-inch Folio 100 slate just got official, only few hours after Samsung’s most anticipated Galaxy Tab has made it out worldwide. And while Toshiba’s elegant Android 2.2 tablet seems a bit unready for the market at the moment, for €399 it still worth the wait. Generally speaking, the new Folio 100 boasts a Tegra 2 chipset  inside but the custom skin which Tosh has thrown on top of Google’s Android platform, feels a bit sluggish to handle UI properly. As mentioned, the display itself is a 10.1 inch 1024 x 600 capacitive touchscreen and there are 16GB of internal memory hidden under the hood. The chassis is only 0.55-inch thick, which makes this Japanese tablet thin and very light to hold in your hands (1.7 pounds of weight) – still you’ll find an SD card expansion and HDMI output built into the frame. Up front, there’s a 1.3 megapixel camera and the battery is said to deliver up to 7 hours of basic work. Naturally, this slick tablet machine supports a 802.11n WiFi connectivity and software wise will apparently pack an Opera browser along with Toshiba’s costume made Media Player, Documents To Go app, Fring, Evernote and a nice eBook application, called FBReader. Samsung Galaxy Tab Turns Official

Samsung has finally gone official with its latest and greatest 7-inch Galaxy Tab tablet. The super hyped Android 2.2 device which Sami has pledged to release across the European continent this month, stores a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor, paired with wide range of radio frequencies, including  HSUPA 5.76 Mbps / HSDPA 7.2 Mbps (900, 1900, 2100 MHz), and quad-band GSM, while connectivity wise you get the most updated Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 support. Further more, you will be offered to choose either 16GB or 32GB capacities at your choice, joined by a microSD card slot that can add up to a 32GB more. Under the lid there’s a 4,000mAh battery pack and down the bottom you’ll find a 30-pin dock connector that lets you connect HDMI, USB, and other docking accessory stocks. The white slick tablet comes equipped with a rear 3 megapixel camera with flash and a 1.3 megapixel webcam up front. It’s capable of running Adobe Flash 10.1 platforms and can easily handle Full HD video playback on board. Pricing details and US availability are still missing at the moment, but full specs chart, PR announcement and the official video commercial are just around the jumping spot.

Update1: Pricing speculations start floating across the European continent, as more and more local retailers start reporting about their Galaxy Tab set of prices. Nothing has been officially announced yet, so please take it with a grain of salt unless you know something we don’t. And getting into the details, we’re now hearing of ginormous prices as high as €699 ($890) in France and €799 ($1,020) in Germany – considering there are 16GB and 32GB flavors to choose from. As for UK residents, Expansys will sell you the 16GB Galaxy Tab at £680 ($1,050), with shipping dated for 11th October.

Apple iOS 4.1 For iPhone / iPod Touch and iOS 4.2 For iPad Announced (Update: Now Available)

Apple’s just announced iOS 4.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch devices, coming up free of charge via iTunes sometimes next week. According to Steve Jobs, the new update is going to fix a few bugs (including Bluetooth, proximity sensor and some iPhone 3G issues) along with some pretty neat add-ons such as High Dynamic Range photos, HD video uploads over WiFi, TV show rentals and the most anticipated Game Center which proved to be very impressive and will match you up with other players on the net.

Next on Apple’s future plans is the iOS 4.2 version, which was specifically designed for iPad devices and is supposed to bring in the entire iOS 4.1 features along with additional dedicated capabilities including the AirPlay feature which lets you stream music and video content over WiFi, or the wireless printing option that enables to remotely manage your entire print jobs. This new iPad iOS edition is claimed to go live somewhere around November.

Update: iOS 4.1 is officially live n kickin’ through your iTunes. That’s of course in case you own one of the following devices: iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 2nd gen, iPod touch 3rd gen, or iPod touch 4th gen.

Hannspree is no stranger for us at this website, but frankly it’s not as popular as other established companies you may well know. Nevertheless, you might still find it interesting, especially with that new 10.1-inch multi-touch tablet which the company has recently shown. Basically, for the €399 (about $505) that Hannspree is asking for, you’ll buy yourself a nice and lavish Android 2.2 device, packing a 1,024 x 600 capacitive display with 16GB of internal storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, a built-in accelerometer, HDMI output and one USB host. Archos To Officially Release a New Android 2.2 Tablets Lineup

We’ve already seen a bunch of Archos Internet tablets based on Android 1.6 landscape, in the past. Thankfully, the next wave, which will happen this year, will focus on Google’s upcoming Android 2.2 platform (Froyo), as the upper level models will also include multitouch capacitive touchscreens inside. We’ll see a mix of 5 different Android versions getting unleashed – some are more of media player devices and some will likely go live as tablet machines.

Archos 28 ($99.99) – A budget version. Comes with a 2.8-inch, 320 x 240 resistive touchscreen which packs underneath 4GB of storage along with a pretty impressive 800MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and a wide range of audio / video codecs support. It also boasts an Android Froyo operating system and a new Archos music app that will display your album art in the most convenient way. Regretfully it won’t have Market Apps access nor Google apps preloaded, but fret not, you won’t be left with nothing inside. Get yours, starting this September.

Archos 32 ($149.99) – Another basic PMP version. This one, however, comes equipped with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, boasting 8GB of storage and a rear 720p camera to catch your very precious moments. In addition, if you want this one you can get it somewhere around mid-September with a slew of touch buttons down the lane and a composite port for TV connection.

Archos 43 ($199) – Up next in this new lineup is the Archos 43 which looks like a new Archos 5 version with a much slimmer design and a more powerful 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor. In addition to the 4.3-inch touchscreen you’ll also get (somewhere around mid-October) that rear 720p camera, along the Android Froyo platform and an integrated screen accelerometer.

Archos 70 ($274.99) – A 7-inch Android Froyo tablet that is supposed to go live somewhere around mid October and replace the previous Archos 7 flavor, yet again with an Android 2.2 OS running inside and a slick capacitive multitouch display placed on the top. This one has a mid-October availability dates as well.

Archos 101 ($300) – The most interesting member in that gang, probably because of the 9.7-inch Apple iPad analogy. Comes fully equipped with a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 capacitive touchscreen, along a slim .5-inch thick chassis and only .93-pound of weight. It houses that same strong 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and runs Google’s latest Android 2.2 platform onboard. In addition you get a front facing VGA camera for video conference chats and in term of ports it is said to include an HDMI output, a microSD reader and one single USB host. i-Station Z3D Android Tablet is Said To Have 3D Viewing Support

We’re not ruling out the possibility of a 3D tablet device coming out to the most trendy and rapidly burgeoning pond – We really don’t! But the sad thing about this latest 3D technology is that it’s the one technology that is probably incapable of displaying good video quality and showing it properly to the people who are asking to watch – especially when it comes to one of those small and portable media machines, you might wanna own. Having said that, Korea’s i-Station would love to show you its next 7-inch (800×480) Z3D 3D slate box which apparently includes an Android 2.1 platform and enables 3D content viewing along both 802.11b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0 support. It offers either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, paired with a local DMB-TV tuner, FM radio, 5000mAh of battery pack and either piano black or pearl white flavors to pick at your choice. If you’re interested, start counting KRW600,000 or about $500, when this thing comes out in Asia somewhere around November and not a single day before.

ASUS Eee PC 1015PN And 1015PEM Are Said To Include Intel’s New Dual-Core Atom Processor

Oh what a hottie we have in here…A brand new Eee PC netbooks lineup with Intel’s dual-core, mobile Atom N550 processor included? Apparently yes, that’s exactly what Taiwanese corp Asus is planning for us in the coming months. The first version in that group is the 1015PEM, which boasts the new 1.5GHz N550 CPU, paired with a 10.1-inch (1024×600) LED display, 0.3MP webcam, up to 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 160/250/320 GB HDD at your choice, Intel’s GMA X3150 for the graphics and Windows 7 Starter edition for the OS platform – all priced competitively at €349 (about $440). The second group member is the 1015PN, which is rumored to make a US debut next month with NVIDIA’s Ion 2 module and some other cool goodies inside. Stay tuned for a lot more to come.

Update: Looks like Amazon is finally stepping up and offering the 10.1-inch Asus 1015PN netbook with both Intel’s dual-core 1.5GHz Atom N550 processor and Nvidia ION 2 graphics for $429.99 only. Shipping dates, however, are yet to be determined.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Finally Gets The Official Video Teaser

It may still be intangible for most of us at the moment (until September 2), but the way it looks it seems that Samsung’s future Galaxy Tab has finally made its first official video debut. And while giving us a quick teaser for what we can expect seeing in the coming future – considering the short screen time – it would be just unwise for us to jump into conclusions. That been said, and from the few we’ve managed to catch, it sure looks like the the neat features included: a 7-inch display, running an Android 2.2 platform with an integrated e-reader, video calling capabilities, GPS navigation system, HD video playback and full internet surfing support, are definitely worth the wait and expectations. Toshiba’s Rumored Smart Pad Device Makes The Unofficial Apperance

We have known for quite some time now that Japanese electronics giant Toshiba is working towards a brand new tablet device – And now, it seems like the good guys at Notebook Italia have apparently managed somehow to get some detailed footage of the company’s alleged technology wonder. Basically, there’s nothing much to report at this point besides the fact it packs both USB and HDMI ports, paired with a memory card reader slot to their right, and a 3.5mm headphone jack to their left. In addition, there are four touch buttons up front the black slick display, implying the whole thing will probably run a Google Android platform inside. More about that at this year’s IFA event which takes place a week and a half from now.

Update1: Rumor has it that Toshiba’s brand new Smart Pad tablet is going to officially be called Folio 100. Other than that, the 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) Android2.2 device is said to include 16GB of internal memory along SD and MMC card readers, 3G WWAN, Bluetooth, and 802.11b/g/n WiFi connections, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a 7 hours battery pack, HDMI / USB 2.0 connectors and last but not least, NVIDIA Tegra 2 to smoothly handle  your 1080p graphics. Look under the hood and you are likely to find an Opera mobile browser, paired with variant office apps, e-book reader capabilities and Flash 10.1 support. Update2: Rumors has been officially confirmed, Toshiba’s new tablet device is now called Folio 100. The 10.1-incher does run an Android 2.1 OS and comes with 16GB of storage along with a front-facing a 1.3 megapixel camera, capacitive multitouch display and a bunch of etched touch buttons placed on the right side of the bezel on top.

Dell’s 10.1-inch Inspiron Mini 1018 Netbook Officially Goes Live in Europe

Seems like Dell is keeping up with their most awesome ultra-portable netbooks lineup fresh with this nice, slick and colorful (over 130 different covers from Dell Design Studio including collections from OPI, Threadless, and PRODUCT RED) Mini 1018 device. The new release runs £279 (about $435) in Europe, and in return you’ll get a nice batch of top-notch components, including a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, a 10.1-inch WSVGA 1,024 x 600 display, 1GB of DDR3 memory, 250GB hard drive, a front-facing webcam, 802.11n WiFi connectivity, dual SRS Premium audio speakers and last but not least, a Windows 7 Starter version that’s supposed to handle the entire platform under the hood. Dell says that world wide shipping should take place “soon” – In case any of y’all (non European residents) wondered.

Toshiba’s Dual-Screen Libretto W100 Officially Available Stateside

Back in June the possible existence of Toshiba’s revolutionary Libretto W100 smartbook was still wobbling between a viable prototype and a pleasureful dream. But today, couple months later, this 7-inch dual-screen wonder officially goes live in US market and turns available for pre-order either in silver or black hues with two to three weeks shipping date on Amazon.com. It’s not cheap, as you may already know, in fact it would actually cost you $1,099.99 buckaroos. In exchange for this staggering price you will get yourself a Pentium U5400 processor, running Windows 7 Home Premium platform inside, along 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 62GB SSD, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, integrated Intel HD card for the graphics and a very impressive 8-cell battery pack that would probably last for a long long time. Samsung’s Galaxy P1000 Tablet is Rumored To Include a 1GHz Hummingbird Processor

While no official confirmation has been made, rumor has it that Samsung’s next Android 2.2 tablet, the Galaxy Tab P1000, will presumably include a 1.0GHz S5PC110 processor unit – the one which you’re also going to find in the company’s brand new Galaxy S mobile device (on the left). In addition to that, the 7-inch 840 x 480 capacitive slate reportedly packs dual camera components, a 3.2mp rear camera and a front-facing VGA webcam, both to join other neat features such as integrated WiFi connectivity and a built-in GPS navigation system that Samsung is apparently planing to add to the box. Stay tuned for more to come.

Update: And looks like Samsung’s future tablet, also known as the Galaxy Tab, was spotted on one of Sydney’s public transportation and videotaped during the ride. Watch the video after the break.

Axon Logic’s 10.1-Inch Haptic Tablet Goes Live With Full Desktop OS Support

It’s not everyday that we stumble upon a 10.1-inch tablet machine that can actually live with a large variety of systems onboard. At first we weren’t even sure it was possible (dual boot aside), but with Axon Logic’s latest and greatest Haptic device, we may well find ourselves proven wrong. Generally speaking, it’s one of those ordinary tablets running Intel’s Atom processor inside with 2GB of RAM, 320GB of storage, one resistive 10.1-inch touchscreen and three speedy USB 2.0 ports. But with all due respect to those basic netbook-like inner parts this bad boy boasts, the big story here is the (unlicensed) Linux, Windows and Mac OS platforms that the company has apparently managed to make the Haptic work with and provided full compatibility and support. Of course, this privilege does not come cheap (about $750) so be sure to have your check book at the ready if you find yourself shopping Axon Logic’s tablet instead of other attractive alternatives, available across the pond.

HP Mini 5103 With Optional 10.1-Inch Touchscreen Introduced

There’s no fanfare in here. No drum rolls or trumpets, none of that, just a tranquil 10.1-inch business netbook introduction of the Mini 5103, a Mini 5102 successor, that HP has recently announced. Basically, to get this one, you’ll have to pay at least €429 or somewhere around $565, that would officially grant you either Atom N455 or N475 processors, tucked with up to 320GB HDD (optional up to 128GB SSD), 2GB of RAM, Intel GMA 3150 for the graphics, 3 x USB 2.0 ports, gigabit ethernet, an SD card, WiFi b/g/n connectivity and 2MP camera, stuffed on the front. Besides that, for few bucks more, you get a chance to add an optional Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator, along with optional Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity and this optional touchscreen display panel, instead of the basic structure form. Still no signs of a Stateside release at the moment, but cross fingers, it might just hit some beautiful US shores.

Update: Before one could say Jack Robinson, HP has already updated its “soon to be arrived” Mini 5103 netbooks lineup with Intel’s new dual-core Atom N550 processor, and is likely to offer it along the current Atom N455 and N475 alternatives. No other significant changes were made besides the CPU update.

Dell Streak Caught On Video Running Android 2.1 OS

While Dell is still being elusive when it comes to when we will be able to pick up its wonderful 5-inch Android-based tablet/phone device from local US retail stores, Dell’s Kevin Andrew has taken the burgeoning conversation into the vids and uploaded a Youtube vlog where he talks openly about the Streak and demos the Android 2.1 platform running with Dell’s customized build, in front of the camera. Hopefully, it would go on retail (somewhere this summer) running Froyo 2.2 inside and painted with cherry red colors from the outside, but at the meantime, until it happens, you’ll have to settle with your Android 1.6 version (if you happen to have a Dell Streak machine already) and the 2.1 flavor presented on the web.

On a different note, we hear that Dell will be offering the Streak in the US for $299.99 with a two-year contract at AT&T or $549.99, free of any obligations. Checkout the video after the break.

Update1: Guess what? Dell is officially going to start selling the 5-inch Streak In the US, through AT&T, coming this Friday morning. How much? $299 with a 2 years contract or $549.99 in case you prefer the “no obligation” relations. We are still to confirm whether it would sell with the usual Android 1.6 platform, an Android 2.1 or anything better (AKA: Froyo). PR after the break.

Update2: I guess it was too good to be true. Turns out the aforementioned $549 off-contract version is…how should we say, not exactly unlocked as some of you might have thought. According to official Dell sources the “free” Dell Streak tablet, “will not be SIM unlocked”, which means you stay connected to AT&T whether you buy the more-expensive version or not.

Update3: And if you can’t wait anymore for Dell’s official Android 2.1 update to come out, you can download it, at your own risk, from this address – apparently, it works! Otherwise, you can downgrade back to the good ol’ Android 1.6 flavor from here.

Augen’s 7-Inch Android Tablet To Be Released Stateside For $150

Oh snap! what’s this? A 7-inch tablet which runs an Android 2.1 OS with a ridiculously low US$150 price tag? That is exactly what the new Augen slate offers. Still not available on shelves (try next week), this nice sleek Florida-based Android machine packs whatever you might need to operate your day-to-day tasks, for a fairly reasonable price. Naturally you shouldn’t expect much, considering the price, but given the fact you’re going to get a WiFi connection, 2GB of storage, 256MB of RAM, and a 7-inch resistive (and hopefully responsive) touchscreen in return – this deal looks pretty attractive for us, isn’t it?

Update1: Engadget’s Joanna Stern has managed to put her hands on one of these 7-inch plastic-made Augen Gentouch 78 devices and you can take a look at the quick hands-on video preview after the break.

Update2: If you still have a chance to get one of Augen’s new Android tablet machines from local Kmart stores, – just do it – Otherwise, let it go, because the next batch apparently won’t include Google’s apps preloaded inside. Why, you’re asking? Because the company didn’t have any Mountain View permission to load them up to its latest 7-inch tablets lineup and Google probably didn’t like it.
