iTunes 9.1 Goes Live With iPad Sync Support

The latest and not so greatest iTunes, version 9.1, is now available to download either via Apple’s website or through the software itself, offering iPad syncing support that would probably become efficient for many of you starting this Saturday morning. Additionally, it now has the iBook support which organize and sync books you’ve downloaded from the iBook store to your iPad or your iTunes library, while the Genius Mixes add-on that Apple has pushed out couple months ago, now allows users to rename, rearrange, or remove audio mixes, if that’s your thing. The new version weighs 97.3MB, in case you wondered. Happy updates!

Apple Pushes Out More iPad Video Tutorials Ahead Of Release

So iPad’s official debut is just around the corner – this Saturday, April 3rd if you still haven’t heard – and with recent unsurprising retail presence confirmation across all 221 Apple Stores and most other big branches on day of launch, the Cupertino tablet festival looks all set and ready to start. And to raise up the excitement bar a little bit more and make your growing slate appetite even bigger than it is, a new batch of iPad tutorial videos, guided by Apple savvy instructors, is now available on Apple’s official website, for potential users to take a look and learn some additional and informative details about Steve Jobs’ latest-greatest “WonderPad”, moments before they hit the long and plodded queue lines which are likely to begin a lot before the official 9:00 AM grand opening stats. Among those guided tours, you’ll find some interesting facts about the tablet’s features, along the iBook UI, iTunes sync, options for stereo connections, stand and browse methods, apps, typing tricks, photos, music and some other appealing  numbers to comprehend at sight. Neofonie WePad Android Slate Announced

Not sure if anyone has already made a movie called “The Slate Attack”, but reality, on the other hand, proves that every day. The latest contender within this realm is Neofonie’s Android-based WePad, which apparently boasts netbook specs inside and 11.6-inch HD compatible (1366 x 768) touchscreen from the outside. And to be more specific, for a nondisclosure price you’d get yourself a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, paired with two USB ports, a built-in webcam, UMTS modem, a flash card reader, Intel’s GMA 3150 graphics accelerator, and up to 6 hours of battery support. Besides that, If we’d take Neofonie words seriously, then mind you there’s a WePad app store on the prep, that will join the already exists Google Android Market place when this slate comes out officially somewhere this fall.

HP’s Slate Rumored To Be Launched In June at €400 Powered By Intel’s Atom Chipset

If  Spanish Clipset‘s words should be taken at face value, HP’s most anticipated 7-inch slate wonder may finally get the official announcement  we’ve all been waiting for somewhere this June, while retail presence should start “before September” . That said, we should all proceed with caution when it comes to rumors, Right? Nevertheless, it is said to include Intel’s Atom processor inside, along several USB ports (you hear that Apple?), a card reader slot extension, a built-in back-mounted webcam and even…a flash support – all priced VERY competitively, at €400 (or $545) – but this remains to be officially determined in the following months. Windows Phone 7 Series Gets a Neat Tablet Concept To Hold Onto

Here’s something that Redmond guys could actually use as their next tablet creation – and rest assure that Microsoft will have one eventually, whether you’d call it tablet, slate or a courier. Created by a designer called Umang Dokey, this nice looking Windows Phone 7 tablet concept is definitely something we could literally envision in our geeky minds, coming out somewhere in the next 24 months, with a bunch of easy-to-use tiles, constructed in one screen, one place, panning free. We don’t really know if those dual joysticks at the back of the device could actually feet Microsoft’s futuristic doctrine, but the flipping kick stand that turns into a viable QWERTY keyboard would probably be a nice add-on to have. Apple’s iPad Gets A Lavish Diamond Edition

The iPad has just made it to Apple’s online store, in case you haven’t noticed, and for those interested in buying one (or two) and have a neat 9.7-inch capacitive-touchscreen tablet added to their growing gadgets collection (that would eventually turn dispensable one day), it’s up and ready for your personal pre-orders starting at $499 for basic 16GB non-3G version and gets to $829 if you choose to nab the 64GB with WiFi & 3G edition. That said, there seems to be yet another iPad model out there, the kind that comes very limited, with a diamond-coated panel, boasting 11.43 carats of G/H color diamonds rated at VS2/SI1 for clarity and being offered by a company called Mervis, specifically for deep pockets/irrational people who are willing to pay a whopping $19,999, to get it. And despite the undisclosed specs of this stock slate version offered, it probably wouldn’t be so hard to find the guys who care about design rather than the ‘Pad – sigh!

HP Slate Shows Up In Adobe Flash Demo and A Marketing Teaser

It’s been over two months since we last saw the HP Slate in action, popping out at CES and making first appearance, courtesy of Mr. Microsoft himself, Steve Ballmer. Back then, it was just a preliminary introduction, but today you get to see the big picture, as shown in a short teaser the company has launched at its own Youtube channel (which admittedly made us super excited) and in Adobe’s walkthrough demo that literally  introduces the flash capabilities (the iPad would probably miss) and how efficient they are to our personal working environment, through HP’s future tablet that regretfully, lacks pricing or shipping dates, as of today. Apple’s iPad To Make Official Debut On April 3rd (Update: Now Available For Pre-Order)

Now it’s official, the tablet everyone’s been waiting for is due out on April 3rd with Apple to start taking non-3G iPad pre-orders a week from now, on March 12th. The official announcement, which was fully added after the break, states that slate fanboys from countries like Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK will get the option to shell out their cash and buy one (3G or non-3G model) at the same exact US date of release, in the first week of the fourth month, with prices starting at $499 for a 16GB WiFi enabled iPad, and up to $829 if you’re out for the 64GB with WiFi and 3G flavors. Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs says: “We’re excited for customers to get their hands on this magical and revolutionary product and connect with their apps and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before”, and we say “Bring it on baby!”

Update1: It’s here! Apple’s latest and greatest tablet, AKA iPad, is now available for pre-order. Shipping date is due to April 3, as mentioned, and customers will be limited up to 2 devices each. Happy raid!

Update2: First stock of Apple’s iPad devices is SOLD OUT! and it’s not that we’re surprised, but just in case you wanted to get one and missed the train, then April 12th, a little over a week, is your next chance to jump to your close station.

Update3: Don’t color us surprise here fellows, we weren’t falling out of our chairs when first heard the iSuppli team, who thoroughly broke down the 16GB iPad components into pieces, decisively claiming a grand total of $259.60 net worth – almost half the price charged by Apple in stores (which stands at $499). Now, it wouldn’t be fair to go and look at things this way, without including R&D plus overhead expenses, would it? In any case, we still think that people should know exactly what they’re paying for, either it’s a $95 screen, or $26.80 for the 1GHz A4 processor.

Hanvon BC10C and BA10E TouchPad Tablets Abruptly Emerge at CeBIT

Details scarce at this point, but a company called Hanvon just rolled out two impressive tablet machines, BC10C and BA10E, both under the suspiciously familiar brand – ‘TouchPad’ (you hear that Apple?!?). And while these two share this nice 10.1-inch capacitive multitouch display and Windows 7 Home Premium on top, there are some slight differences between them that worth to be mentioned and note. Starting with the BA10E model, it runs a 1.6GHz Atom Z530 processor inside, paired with 1GB of RAM, 120GB hard drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 1.3mp camera and a mediocre Intel GMA 500 graphics card. Mind you that specs clearly indicate a Windows XP system while in demo itself the tablet was operating under a touch-friendly Windows 7 OS. The second, BC10C has a 1.3GHz Intel Celeron ULV743 CPU, tucked with 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 2mp camera –  which make it more strong. The company says that prices should be somewhere between 500 – 600 Euros, but we still don’t have any confirmation about release dates or any official pre-orders call. Update1: The the BC10C launches in China March 25th, for $877, but ’till then, Jkkmobile has just released their Hanvon’s hands-on video, and they seemed very impressed with the results, so check it out as well, after the break.

Update3: According to jkkmobile, Hanvon’s TouchPad B10 release has been rescheduled again, this time towards the end of May, if you’re a Chinese buyer, and somewhere around June for the rest of the Western world. Prices remain with no change though, standing at $877.

Archos 7 Home Tablet Introduced, Running Android Platform and ARM 9 CPU Onboard

We’ve already seen a glimpse from Archos’ 7-inch Android-powered tablet one month ago, but now things turn to be official at CeBIT 2010, with the French debuting their 600MHz ARM 9 Home Tablet machine, aiming the low cost market with attractive and very affordable prices – €149 in Europe and only $179 Stateside. And despite that unconvincing HD friendly resistive touchscreen, we can find a lot of reason for you to buy it. First and foremost, it’s cheap, second, it comes with WiFi so you can easily surf the net without the need for other device, third, it looks great at 12mm thin and weighs only 350g and fourth, it has 2GB of storage capacity inside and a microSD card extension slot. No, it doesn’t include an integrated accelerometer inside so you won;t be able to see your photos in landscape mode or read your favorite eBook vertically, but still, for that pricing level it sure worth a try, especially when it comes to the battery that delivers seven hours of video or 44 hours of audio playback. Update1: And just when things are getting busy within the tablet realm, the Android-powered Archos 7 8GB tablet device appears online in couple of places, available for a pre-order (and as an iPad alternative) for merely €200 ($270) on the German Amazon or at €180 ($240) on Redcoon’s website.

Update2: Looks like the Archos 7 Home Tablet is now finally available to order on Amazon for $199.99, with an official release date – yet to be determined (probably towards the end of April).

Update3: Unfortunately, the Archos 7 won’t be available in the market until early June of this year. That said, according to the French corp, those who pre-ordered the 7-inch, Android 1.6 tablet may get their piece of craft somewhere towards the end of May. Full PR after the break.

Mio Moov V780 MID Breaks Cover Ahead Of CeBIT

Top-notch navigating systems with 3D maps and live traffic reports are probably some of the things that come to your minds when hearing the name Mio. And while GPS systems have turned to be part of our day-to-day usage, one can argue it would just be enough to satisfy today’s self indulgent clients. I mean, lets be series for a moment, don’t you want the all-in-one package instead of carrying so many gadgets around? Well, someone in MIO has already figured that out, otherwise we’d probably seen yet another nav box hitting our headlines, no? And getting into details, we speak about the company’s latest Moov V780 MID – Entertaining machine that has recently popped out with a 7-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen and should officially see first lights at CeBIT 2010. It has a strong 600MHz processor tucked with an HDMI output, DVB-T digital TV support, a built-in WiFi and optional WiMAX connection. Furthermore, it’s claimed to include the new Mio Spirit navigation software, but OS wise, you won’t be seeing anything but Windows CE running inside, not to mention an Android 2.0. Price and availability are still to be unveiled, hopefully this coming week, at the Hannover show.

Update: The good guys at jkkmobile have managed to put their hands on MIO’s new V780 MID while at CeBIT, and we’re lucky to have their video up and ready to be watched, right after the break. As you can see, the V780 will presumably offer an optional cradle where users will be able to place the V780 in and do their stuff with a real QUERTY keyboard attached – something we have seen in Lenovo’s U1 Hybrid machine, remember?

iiView’s Vpad Makes It Out To a Growing Tablets Market

If any of you happens to have spare $500 in his pocket, iPad is not the only slab you can get – look, it’s not that we’re trying to pull you off the idea of buying Apple’s new star, it’s just there are other tablets in the market that want to conquer your hearts. One of them, is iiView’s 10.2-inch Vpad that boasts familiar specs such as Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive and Windows 7 Starter Edition onboard. And while this version costs only $499, a 3G-compatible device with 2GB of RAM and 320GB hard drive will run for $200 more. Still no info about availability.

Update: Looks like iiView has wisely decided to upgrade specs inside its coming slate (AKA: M1Touch) which suppose to run for $500, starting this June, with a 1.66GHz Atom N450 processor, paired with 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, one USB hub, 4-in-1 card reader and integrated webcam, stuffed on top of a 10.1 inch capacitive multitouch display. Basically, we’re not fond of desktop OS platforms running on portable tablets, even though the M1Touch do have one  – Windows 7 Home Premium.

Asus Eee PC T101MT Netbook With Swivel-Touchscreen Unveiled

It’s been a while since we’ve last seen a tablet netbook from Asus, but thanks to the FCC division we’re finally getting a chance to see their new and latest swivel-enabled ultra-portable mate, the Eee PC T101MT, which crams a 10.1-inch 1024 x 768 resistive multitouch display along with 160GB or 320GB capacities at your choice, 1.6GHz Atom N450 CPU, Windows 7, up to 2GB of RAM, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 connection, 0.3 mp webcam and a battery that can deliver up to 6.5 hours of work time. Ports list includes a VGA output, SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader, three USB hubs and Ethernet jack, tucked into black or white body flavors. Still no world about price or availability but be sure we’re here to update as soon as they come. Meanwhile, hit the jump to see some video tutorials.

Update1: We’ve added yet another hands-on video to ease your decisions whether to get Asus’ latest greatest Eee PC T101MT Tablet or just move forward to some other versions available in the market. Handheld US To Introduce The Algiz 7 Field Tablet PC

Now, don’t you think that Apple’s iPad device is the only tablet available around (…or yet to be available in a month). A company called Handheld US has one of its own, Algiz 7 that is, which carries a 1.6GHz Atom processor under the hood and a 7-inch touchscreen display right over the top (MaxView technology to ensure easy viewing in bright). To make sure you get no scratches down the field, the company added protective rubbers at each one of the corners while connection wise, it seems you’re covered as well with WiFi, Bluetooth, built-in GPS, and optional 3G bundled inside the package. Besides that, for a non-disclosure price you get yourself  2GB of RAM, paired with a 64GB SSD storage, a swappable 2400 mAh dual battery pack and Windows 7 Professional to handle things on ground. It suppose to come out next month with IP65 and MIL-STD-810G standards to endure humidity, smacks and shakes when taken outdoor, as weight is at 2.4lbs.

iTablet Gets Released In The UK, Packs Everything The iPad Doesn’t Have

Now that Apple’s iPad has finally turned official and gone into mass production, it seems just a matter of time until new tablet machines would rise and shine in geeks world and closely watched in months to come. And one UK company that didn’t wait long (’till Apple’s newcomer goes live)  and recently taken wraps off its latest greatest pride, the iTablet, is X2 Computing that offers a 10.2-inch widescreen TFT or 12.1-inch widescreen XGA – both touchscreens at 1024 x 768 resolution – due to start shipping with Windows or Linux OS in April 2010, for an undetermined price. Basically, these iTablets pack most things we wanted to see in Cupertino’s iPad but couldn’t find, like three USB ports, optional HDMI output, 1.3-megapixel webcam, multi-tasking and out-of-the-box integrated flash support. Besides that you suppose to see other included specs like Intel’s 1.6GHz processor, paired with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G connection, white, grey, pink, blue, red, yellow or black flavors and up to 250GB of storage onboard. Stay tuned for more.

Update: Word on the street says that both versions are sized at 35mm thick, which explains the big storage capacity offered, but sounds bulky, in our opinion. This way or another we’ll have to wait and see.

Meizu Android-Powered ‘M-One’ Tablet Teams Up With avatar, Aims To Destroy The iPad

At this point there are more images than details, and frankly we have no Idea whether they’re real or not – although we have our doubts, if you’re asking, especially when it comes to the Avatar image below, I mean seriously do you guys want to mess up with Hollywood IP lawyers or what? On the other hand, if they were real then Meizu might have gone official with it, no? Anyway, until we prove different, you all should know it’s called M-one (at least that’s what they say), looks like a slim tablet device and claims to have everything that Apple iPad lacks, including a built-in camera, multi-tasking platform, Android operating system and whitish charming design. Regretfully, there’s no word about price or availability at the moment, but that as a fact doesn’t seem to bother Mr. james cameron himself, eh? Hit the link for more images.

Update: It’s fake. Meizu CEO J.Wong said he won’t be launching an iPad killer soon. He also said:

ExoPC Atom N270 Tablet Makes it Out With Windows 7 Onboard

How much are you willing to pay for a brand new tablet, $400, $500, maybe $600 or seven hundred? In apple’s iPad case it may sound reasonable, but when it comes to ExoPC, a small company from France, we have our doubts. The last, as we hear, has recently gone official with an 8.9-inch Atom N270 CPU, paired with 2GB of RAM , 32GB of solid state drive, Windows 7 Premium (which means full browser support with flash) and slick rounded design (iPad anyone?). It also includes a multitouch display on top, 1.3MP webcam in front, wifi, Bluetooth, Ethernet 10/100, VGA output and 3 x USB ports – is that a netbook or what? Well, not if you count battery time – “only” four hours of work. Right now it’s available in prototype mode for a whopping $780 and non-multitouch screen, but prices will presumably drop down to $599 when this thing comes out sometime this March.

Update1: And just in case you were wondering what exactly happens inside the ExoPC bowels, hit the break and get a taste. You will find that Intel Atom N270 CPU, tucked with a 945 Express chipset, a Ene memory card controller and an open Mini PCI-Express slot. OH, and there’s also a big fan as you can see, to cool things around.

Update2: The guys at engadget were lucky enough to get a video of the ExoPC in action and from their initial impressions it seems to be responsive despite the “low-pressure” resistive touchscreen. Other than that, it looks pretty bulky in our humble opinion, but hey, it’s up to you to decide whether to shell $599 for this one or get Apple’s iPad for $100 less. Hit the break to see the video.

Update3: Looks like ExoPC has decided to wait just a few more months before going out with its most attractive 8.9-inch tablet. The purpose of this postpone is specs improvement, in order to match current components standards.

“With [CiaraTech’s] help we are improving the specs: better processor, graphics, better battery life, thinner, better screen and touch panel. We should hit FCC soon. As we have more time we are adding more features in the ExoPC UI Layer (ex. an app / media store).”

Update4: Turns out the ExoPC will not be available before September 7th of this year. In addition, the company plans to replace the old N270 processor with a new one, probably Intel’s Atom N450, along with a Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator, to improve 1080p video support. Stay tuned.

Update5: It seems the ExoPC final name will be the “Slate” and rumors claim it will be offered in four different flavors including 32GB WiFi, 32GB WiFi or 3G / GPS, and 64GB WiFi or + 3G / GPS. Check out the second hands-on video we’ve added after the break.

Have you heard the joke that claims you can turn your iPhone into an iPad once looking at the screen from close range? Well, you don’t really need to, that of course in case you have jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch machines at your disposal. But even if you don’t, just think about it, the idea of carrying at the back of your pocket a mobile device that packs iPad capabilities like 3D interface, iBook reader, neat photo display or other cool functions sounds pretty cool, isn’t it? Archos 7 Android Tablet Breaks Cover

We’ve already seen Archos 5 Android-based mid surfacing up roughly four months ago and today, when tablets market appears to be on fire, it’s time for the Archos 7 to show up, isn’t it? Call it MID or Tablet, it really doesn’t matter, the screen is a 7-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen and the operating system is basically powered by Android. So far we know about the 8GB version which boasts a built in webcam, SD card slot, mic and wifi support – set to launch in March for £ 149.99. Other models will probably get released later on, hopefully with more storage included. Stay tuned for more.

Sungworld 7-inch Android MID Boasts a Touchscreen, Craves To Be An iPad

Well, not that we think it would match the iPad by any chance, but those on a hunt for the simple stylish 7-inch touchscreen MID, may find it appropriate. It’s Chinese, comes from Sungworld, packs an ARM926 processor and comes with 2GB of storage, two USB ports and an HDMI output (you hear that Apple?). The body is made of silver and edges are quite rounded. Oh, and it will be available in pink, blue, green, purple or black, but that won’t probably change your mind, now that the iPad is out, will it?

Apple iPad Tablet Officially Live Starting at $499

It’s been a wild day with big news and one single product – The iPad. Yes guys, Apple’s tablet is officially out, no more rumors, no speculations, no overpriced ($999) guesses or foolish mockups, this time it’s for real, and it would cost only $499 (16GB), $599 (32GB) or $699 (64GB), courtesy of Cupertino. As is, it looks very sexy, only 0.5-inches thin and 1.5 pounds of weight. Display is almost ten inches wide, and to be more accurate, 9.7-inches. Screen resolution is basically like every usual netbook, 1024X768, but the screen itself, as you may have guessed, supports a capacitive multitouch usability, the kind you’d find in an iPhone. It has 802.11n wifi, Bluetooth, and in some models even a 3G cellular connectivity, that will run in AT&T and around the world for a monthly fee og either $14.99 (250MB data) or $29.99 (unlimited package). Steve jobs says they are all UNLOCKED and that the processor inside is powered by Apple’s custom designed A4 chipset (which is speculated to be an Arm Cortex 9 processor). Battery wise, Stevo claims a 10 hours of work and almost a month in standby mode, while UI is basically similar to the iPhone, only revamped to support browsing, emails, photos, video (including Youtube), music, games and ebooks on a larger scale.

Yes, Apple thinks that netbooks are slow and made of low quality, and that’s why they came up with a tablet, which frankly is an hybrid creation of the company’s iPhone and Mac in one single device. Naturally, it comes with a built-in accelerometer, the kind that lets you play top-notch shooting and high speed racing games, joystick free, and GPS system if you were asking, is also part of the deal, so navigation, satellite images and street view topography are now available on the go. Like any light and sophisticated machine, you can send emails, engage your contacts, surf the net and sync music with iTunes – and this is the time to mention it has a USB connector for that mission and other collaborative tasks you can think of. But the iPad, is not just for internet and multimedia consuming, it’s also for book reading, like Yahoo’s Kindle, only with colors. But that’s not all, because Apple like Apple developed an iBook app this purpose, and to make things profitable, there is an online store – just for books – starting today! So there you have it, an all-in-one media device with music, videos, almost 150k optional apps, personal office manager, ebook reader and almost endless usage possibilities. On the down side, it doesn’t have a camera inside and we haven’t seen any HDMI output to pump your vids. The bezel is too wide, there’s no flash supported and last but not least, no multitasking – NO MULTITASKING. Instead you can work on sheets, tables and charts, through iWork, that was tweaked by Apple’s teams to fit the iPad. Want it? this ain’t come free – $9.99.

DigitalRise's New X9 Tablet Joins The Hot And Trendy Slate Parade

Looks like we have a new joiner at the soon-to-be-crowded tablets arena. This time, it’s the X9 from DigitalRise China, which offers a 10.2-inch multitouch display (tablet,you know) along a decent lineup within, that includes an Atom N270 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 1.3mp webcam, a 160GB hard drive, 3G connectivity, WiFi, GPS and the latest-greatest Windows 7 OS. It’s already up for pre-orders, in case you have an import or distribution company, but be sure you’ll be the first to know when it gets available for individuals. This way or another, it would cost you a whopping $780 at the moment, so hold your breath for couple weeks more.

Compal's 7-inch Android Tablet Prototype Gets a First Introduction, Boasts Tegra 2 Chipset Inside

Care for one more tablet device? the kind that packs a 7-inch touchscreen and runs an Android 2.0 platform inside? in that case Compal would like to have a word with you. The reason, if you haven’t heard, is the company’s new Tegra-powered tablet, that recently introduced at the CES show in Vegas (by Nvidia) and looked like it has no problems playing any 1080p files, “stutter-free”. At this early stage, it would be hard to figure how much will it cost or when will it start shipping, but till then, bare in mind it packs a WiFi connectivity, along SIM card slot and microSD expansion, tucked with a non-friendly resistive touchscreen and an HDMI port to pump vids out.  More on that, later.

Cowon Atom-powered W2 MID Pops Up With Windows 7 Inside

We haven’t heard much from Cowon lately. In fact, we’ve heard nothing from them since last December. But that as a fact doesn’t mean the Korean corp wasn’t active at all – look, they just rolled out a MID (sigh) – and it’s a 4.8-inch with 1024 x 600 touchscreen LCD, running a Windows 7 platform, powered by a 1.3GHz Intel Atom processor. It’s a bit bulky, and a thick bezel surrounds the frame. The chassis is made of silver brushed metal, housing four buttons, two on each side. There are stereo speakers bundled within, along Ethernet port and single TV output – but that’s about what the company was willing to share at this point. Stay tuned for more.

Update1: Turns out Cowon’s W2 MID will eventually make official debut on January 25th with that 4.8-inc WSVGA screen, along a 1.3GHz Intel Atom Z520, 1GB RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, 2 x USB ports Battery at 10/7 hours (audio/video) and either 60GB or 80GB capacities at your choice. Retail price is at 599,000 to 739,000KRW, respectively (about $530 to $660).

Update2: Apparently, AVING guys have managed to catch some quality time with the new Atom-powered Cowon W2 MID, in one of those  trading shows in Asia. And although it feels thick and bulky at first impression, you have to admit the front looks awesome, both portrait and landscape modes. In addition, it seems to have an optional USB QWERTY keyboard  that can be attached into the left side of the chassis. No word about US release or prices, but ’till then, two more image are placed after the break.

MSI Teases With a 10-Inch Android Tablet At The CES (Update: Now Official)

It looks great, it sports a 10-inch capacitive display, runs a powerful Tegra 2 chipset and called Harmony. That’s pretty much what we  know about MSI’s new Android tablet that recently showed up at the CES show in Vegas. The platform is actually an Android 2.1 and the slate is literally tagged as an E-book machine.  It has both WiFi and 3G WWAN connectivity included, and apparently, wants to be “your office to go” solution.  Check out the videos we’ve added half past the break.

Update: MSI finally gets official with the new 10-inch Android-powered tablet, we’ve recently bumped into at CES 2010 in Vegas. And despite the scarce details at the moment, we do know it would pack a Tegra 2 chipset under the hood, and that buyers will get to choose between different “flexible” configurations. Availability is yet to be determined , but prices are said to be high, around the $500 barrier. Stay tuned.

Lenovo has really given a thought lately to what bring us geeks out and make us extremely excited whenever approaching new gadgets. And clearly, the company has spent a lot of time and budgets when it first came up with the idea of creating a product that combines a laptop and a tablet under one single hood. Well, the product is now officially out and youm can call it IdeaPad U1 Hybrid. It looks both innovative and stylish at the same time, and packs a 11.6-inch laptop with a detachable multitouch display that turns the screen into a nice portable tablet, running Lenovo’s proprietary Skylight Linux platform and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, paired with a 16GB SSD and that nice looking multitouch slate. The entire pack, including the tablet and the laptop together, weighs only 3.8 pound and boasts a CULV Intel Core 2 Duo processor , lining up with a chicklet-style keyboard, a 128GB SSD, a big integrated touchpad and Windows 7 Premium preloaded onboard. Dell's Slate Makes First Appearance at CES With Android 2.0, 3G And Wireless Connectivity (Update: Mini 5)

Nothing much to share at this point, but Dell has revealed a new slate/tablet device at its keynote speech at CES in Vegas. Designed like a business smartphone, and some would say it is one considering the SIM slot it boasts, the new Reddish device  includes an Android platform preloaded inside, and a 5-inch touchscreen on top. There’s also an integrated 5MP camera at the back and three clickable buttons on the right – Home, Back and (maybe) apps. Furthermore, up the hill, it houses three additional buttons which looks like ON/OFF, camera and volume support. We’ve also spotted a built-in mic and Bluetooth, but that’s all we have for now.

Update1: engadget guys were lucky to sit around the table with Dell’s representative who was kind enough to give a quick tour and show them Dell’s new mysterious slate in a snap. From first impression we’re guessing it’s an Android 1.6 platform that runs inside, but quiet positive there’s a nice numpad add-on included in the keyboard and a tiny face camera right on front. We’re not sure whether it’d be called Mini 5 or codename Streak, but color us impressed from the way it performed. Vid and thumbs, after the break.

Update2: Turns out it’s a 5-inch mid, boasting 800 x 480 capacitive touchscreen,along integrated WiFi and 3G WWAN connectivity. It runs Android 2.0 (Eclair) instead of that 1.6 flavor and seems to endure a dual-LED flash 5mp camera behind and a 1,300mAh battery within. We’ve added another video after the break, courtesy of Slashgear and some Vietnamese chaps.

Update3: The Tinhte team has taken Dell’s Android-based Mini 5 slate/mid to a teardown session, and guess what they’ve found under the hood – a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, two microSD slots, integrated SIM card with 3G radio and a 1,530mAh battery, stronger than expected. Update4: TechCrunch guys have managed to catch up with Michael Dell himself somewhere outside Davos conference halls, and look what he got, a “Mini 5” slate, in his words, which suppose to go live “in “a couple of months” with an Android based platform, 3G connectivity, 5MP camera and other good stuff. Dell refused to disclose any details about price or chipset.Checkout the third video after the break.

Update5: Dell says its latest Mini 5 will not run an Android 1.6 platform, but “something newer”, which we can’t confirm yet. In any case, it’s going to be refreshing and upgradable.

Update6: Apparently, the Mini 5 has a docking station which suppose to include HDMI output and a USB port. Check it out in T3 Greek Edition’s video after the break.

Update7: Looks like there’s plenty of stuff ahead. According to Neeraj Choubey, Dell’s tablet division GM, the Mini 5 is part of “a family of tablets” that will “scale up to a variety of sizes.” Some, are claimed to include “inexpensive data plans” in the bundle, some just Android powered.

Update8: Apart from the 5-inch 800 x 480 WVGA touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, and the 30-pin docking connector, it seems that Dell will offer the Mini 5 (or Streak, depends who you ask) in wide range of premium colors. Hit the break to see your options.

Lenovo definitely shows a lot of creativity at this year’s CES show in Vegas. And just in case you were thinking the Chinese would likely settle with their latest good-looking Skylight, think twice, because the way it looks, there’s a lot more down in their sleeves. Hence the first one in this session, is the IdeaPad S10-3 which Lenovo completely revamped and stuffed inside a beautiful 10-inch screen, paired with an Atom N470 CPU, nice chicklet-style keys, a 3-cell battery (optional 6-cell) and premium chassis design that weighs only 2.4 pounds and attractively priced at $399, or 20 bucks less at Amazon’s online store. The second, and more interesting between these two, is the IdeaPad S10-3t tablet netbook which packs a stunning 10-inch swivel screen that boasts a Natural Touch interface plus a highly responsive accelerometer. It would cost you a bit higher, $499 to be accurate, but you will also receive Windows 7 Home Premium and 6-cell Lithium-ion battery, both bundled in the pack. Ladies and gentlemen, this is it! HP’s long awaited tablet officially announced. It actually came up during Steve Ballmer’s CES keynote event and immediately became “hot”, but this way or another, it’s way too early and we’re still missing a lot. And even though this is just a prototype slate and we are few months away from seeing it out, we’re more than sure this cool multi-touch gadget is something ‘ya all would probably want. It runs Windows 7 to handle it and a Kindle reader software, but as we’ve seen from Microsoft’s CEO, you can even play with it Frogger. We’re not used to such big players, the kind that recently announced by Aluratek at the CES show in Vegas, but that’s probably the fun part of discovering new gadgets, isn’t it? Well, maybe, depends who you’re asking and how portable it is. This one, the 8.9-inch Cinepal media player, doesn’t look so handy, especially when it’s hard to determine whether it’s a digiframe, a tablet, a PMP or just an e-reader. The answer probably falls somewhere in between. Anyway, you can get it next month for $179, that will grant you 4GB of internal storage, together with an SD / SDHC expansion slot, a 6 hours of battery time and wide range of codecs compatibility, including DivX DRM, AVI, VOB, DAT, MPEG, H.264, MKV, MP3, WMA and JPEG files support. Freescale's 7-Inch Smartbook Tablet Officially Announced, Boasts an Enticing Design And $200 Tag

Freescale is already staring eyes towards the CES show, which goes live this coming weekend, and the way things look, there’s plenty of stuff that worth waiting for. In a nutshell, the semiconductor giant surprises with a 7-inch smartbook reference design that fits well the Smartbook Tablet gender, only with a lot more to offer. Make no mistake, it’s a sort of a prototype that Freescale wishes to develop with its OEM partners, and the list of components is admittedly, very impressive, still you should give it at least six month before it gets – this way or another – official. The most attractive thing in here is the price which stands right below the $200 mark and digging into the specs, it ain’t so much at all, considering the fact it has a 1GHz i/MX515 chipset, paired with ARM Cortex A8 processor that seats together with 1,024 x 600 touch display (and ambient light sensor), 512MB of DDR2 RAM, optional 3G WWAN module, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, 3mp camera on top, and 3-axis accelerometer support. You get between 4GB to 64GB of internal storage, expandable with a microSD, while battery suppose to work all day long at 1,900mAh. And whether you’re fond of portable devices or not, Freescale’s machine offers (for extra $50) an optional docking station fully equipped with QWERTY keyboard and identical color lot – Now that’s definitely something we’d like to have our hands on. Update: Word on the street is that the $200 tablet from Freescale that sports a 7-incher display and a strong ARM Cortex architecture, will go live somewhere, somewhat, equipped with either Google’s Chromium OS or sort of a Linux platform at your choice, while Android is said to be on the prep as well, and capacitive screens are likely to be considered as part of this slate. Fusion Garage's 12.1-inch JooJoo Tablet Introduced, Suppose To Replace The Uncompleted Crunchpad

Still clashing off court (and soon probably on court) with TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington about their former mutual Crunchpad adventure, which apparently imploded few days ago, Fusion Garage ostentatiously sends a “business as usual” message to whom it may concern,with its yesterday’s official introduction of the JooJoo ( means “magic”), a 12.1-inch tablet which suppose to be released instead of the Crunchpad and presumably to include a capacitive 12.1-inch touchscreen, bounded by a clean slick frame that hides underneath a 4GB SSD, together with a WiFi, an accelerometer, a 5 hours battery, a video adapter with “enough graphic power to deliver full HD video” and various ports relay on both sides. The 2.4 pounds grayish machine suppose to run a UNIX-based OS that loads up in 9 seconds, while mother company, Fusion, is claimed to start accepting  pre-orders on December 11 – three days from now – carrying a price tag of $499. Update2: The JooJoo is now available for pre-orders at $499, as Fusion Garage adds a $30 dock (the one in the picture) to its accessories lineup. Specs wise, we get to hear it’d probably house either Intel’s Atom Z530 or GMA500 processors, consider that 1080p video support the tablet smoothly plays. Shipping is set to begin “within 8-10 weeks”, although we have our doubts, now that Arrington’s legal action against FusionGarage shifts to Federal court.

Update3: And, as expected, Michael Arrington sues Fusion Garage over the JooJoo-Crunchpad situation, alleging false advertising, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of business ideas, fraud, and unlawful business practices. Update4: Looks like JooJoo’s shipping will delayed to March 25 due to the tablet’s capacitive screen manufacturing issues. To compensate those who already pre-ordered a piece of this wonder, Fusion Garage will give away that $30 kick stand you see in the picture.

Camangi WebStation Android Tablet Sets To Go Live In The Coming Months

Tablets, Androids, portable devices, we keep hearing them a lot, everywhere we go, in/off cyber world. The latest, is from Camagni, a Taiwanese group that brings us the Webstation, an Android-based tablet device which sports a 7-inch 800 x 480 glass touchscreen, paired with a 624MHz Marvell PXA303 processor, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (expandable up to 8GB capacity) and a nice slick whitish frame, that comfortably fits the palm of your hand. Communication wise, you’ll find the Webstation equipped up to date with 3G WWAN, 802.11b/g WiFi and even a GPS navigation system, that was tucked in order to guide your way out there. Price suppose to stand at $399 in Japan while availability dates are still a mystery – although we do know – that basic white flavor is not alone and Pink or Black hues will hit the shelves as well. Although we’ve only chosen to put the reddish color in this post, Malata’s new R108T tablet netbook offers couple hues more. But either it’s the Ferrari Red, Piano Black, Coffee, Gold or Champagne flavor  – they’re all comprised of the same specs – which technically sport a 10-inch 1024×600 LED backlit display, along with a 160GB HDD, 1GB od RAM, a 1.3 megapixels webcam and Atom N270 processor. The rest, pretty much goes as usual with SD card slot, WiFi, ethernet and 2 USB ports, to hook your stuff wherever you go. Hikari's Android-based iFrame Tablet Will Make The Japanese Scene Somewhere Next Year

Android is the key word in here, no doubt, but the tablet issue is no less important, and as you can see, we see a lot of them lately, better with an Android OS loaded onboard (it’s good for the marketing). And Japanese company, Hikari, is no different in that scene, realizing it should implement Google’s magical platform with its new iFrame tablet, which boasts (besides that Android power) a 7-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen display (that can be used as a photo frame) along with an SD slot expansion, WiFi connection, a built in speaker and multiple widgets like weather, calendar, news and recipes on top. Price range is claimed to be at $220 and $330 when this thing comes out in 2010. Until then, you can watch the video after the break.

eviGroup's 10-Inch Pad Tablet Announced, Personal Assistant Included

We barely find these days portable media devices that get released with an artificial intelligence software, which can practically serve as your day by day personal assistant. However, we do see a lot of Internet and tablet machines, being launched on a daily bases, across the globe. One of those hybrid units that bravely combines all of the above, and stuffs them into a one tiny “piano-finish” frame, is eviGroup’s 10.2-inch Pad Tablet, that boasts (besides this 1024 x 600 display) a WiFi connectivity together with 3G WWAN, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, three USB ports, a 1.3MP webcam, a built-in microphone, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard-drive to keep your files inside. The system that operates this entire platform is Microsoft’s Windows 7, which comes preloaded with the optional Seline10 robotic creature that basically activates everything you do, either it’s text, handwriting, interface navigation and even voice controls. Seline seems to easily recognize your different moves, and technically transform them into actions. Regretfully, the company hasn’t yet unleashed any preview videos to demonstrate this ten years technology development working in practice. Nevertheless, collecting just under €500 ($745) out of your savings, will get you one, whenever it comes around.

Microsoft’s Multi-Touch Courier Tablet Pops Up In The Wild, Brings WOW effect Into The Room

So the guys at Gizmodo were lucky and generous at the same time, to share with us the future of touchscreen tablet PCs, the way it looks through Redmond’s eyes. The “top-secret” model that was surprisingly exposed out of the labs called the Courier, and seems to portray a sort of a futuristic booklet prototype that presumably packs dual 7-inch displays that can be used either with a stylus pen or multitouch gestures. A built-in 3MP camera seems to be included as well at the back cover, while “home” button is  placed at the middle, sending users back to default page whenever they want. Charging mode is believed to be inductive (like Palm Pre’s Touchstone), while both external design and UI platform are said to be made in collaboration with outsourced agencies. The rest unfortunately is still considered enigmatic, but to get a sense of feeling just hit the jump, watch the video and start dreaming.

Update1: ZDNet guys are saying the entire Courier platform is hovering a Windows 7 OS (although you can’t install Windows 7 apps on it) , and that the mission is being defined as “an incubation project” which aims to go live somewhere on mid-2010.

Update2: Engadget says the Courier will function as a “digital journal”, based on that gorgeous Windows Zune HD platform we’ve seen before, powered by Tegra 2 chipset (no official confirmation yet). We’ve added two  HD videos of that revolutionary interface. check them out, after the break.

Viliv S10 Tablet Netbook Shows Up, Swivel Touchscreen, Windows 7 and 10 Hours Battery Included (Update: Now Official)

We already know Viliv and the highly rated MIDs and UMPCs it makes, but even though, the Koreans won’t settle with scarce line of products and apparently these days, are showing off at IDF 2009, their new portable series which seems to include the S10, which looks like a new 10-inches tablet netbook device that technically packs 1,366 x 768 resistive swivel touchscreen, but also Intel’s Atom 1.33GHz or 2.0GHz processors (the 2.0GHz CPU isn’t available yet) and Windows 7 OS, the premium version. Besides that, Viliv lets you choose between 32 or 64GB SSDs (at 70MBps read rates), together with an optional 3G WWAN, 1GB of RAM, a 10 hours battery that runs at one single charge and a built-in webcam, probably a 1.3 megapixels one. Still no word when or where this White/Black hues unit suppose to go live (more likely around Q4 09), but starting price is claimed to stand at $500. Update1: Apparently, Viliv’s S10 tablet netbook just turned official. The 10.1 inch multitouch swivel screen, known as the Blade, integrates 4G mobile WiMAX and 3G HSPA connectivity inside. In addition, viliv has also launched the 4.8-inch clamshell MID, N5 which packs 3G and WiFi as well. PR after the break.

TabletKiosk's 12.1-inch Sahara NetSlate a230T Tablet PC Introduced, a Non-friendly Price Tag Attached

TabletKiosk storms into the tablets market with a new 12.1-inch tablet pc device which apparently boasts the desert-like name, Sahara NetSlate a230T, and seems to have Intel’s Atom N270 processor along with some other cool specs that include either a mandatory 120GB hard drive or the optional SSD flavor, 1GB of RAM (upgradable to 2.0 GB), Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Dual-Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity, an optional 3G/3.G WWAN Module, and design wise, a sleeky rounded-edges frame, housing two stereo speakers on both sides. Display, as mentioned, sized at 12.1-inch and sports a multi-touch screen experience, in case you’re using the embedded Windows XP OS, although the company will also provide some other alternatives on top of that, like openSUSE Linux version or Microsoft’s Windows Vista OS, which practically grants users a free copy of Windows 7, the moment the platform comes out . At that end, the a230T tablet machine is now listed on TableKiosk’s online shop, ready to be shipped right away – but before getting one, talk with your banker, it’s $1395 for the entry level model.

Sinchun UMPC-501 Atom-based Tablet Shows Up In Asia With All Its Charm

Care for yet another tablet pc to run your stuff? Looks like Sinchun Electronics might have something for you, as the Chinese company has just released the 5-inch UMPC-501 A tablet, which apparently boasts a Z510 Intel Atom processor, with a cool removable battery inside and 800 x 480 touchscreen display, placed beneath a 6.3 x 3.75 x .87 inches frame which practically weighs around 350g. Next, we have the SiRF Star III GPS navigation antenna, that seats right next to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections (3G HSPA is optional), with 1G of RAM on the board and storage capacity which gets up to 32GB SSD at your choice. Windows XP Home is expected to operate the entire system when this MID comes up this month for 3000 Yuan ($440).

Toshiba's 7-inch JournE Multimedia Tablet Unveiled

While Apple’s rumored tablet Mac is still on the prep and Arrington’s Crunchpad PC tablet doesn’t take off yet, it’s the Japanese giant Toshiba which steps up these days and catches the big tech headlines, around its latest impressive 7-inch tablet unit, that was first introduced at the IFA trading show in Berlin, yesterday morning. Naturally, like all tablet devices, Toshiba’s JournE multimedia machine is no different, with its sharp and wide touchscreen display, that packs underneath an SD slot expansion that seats right next to 1GB of internal storage (poor), an ARM4 processor, a 802.11b/g WiFi antenna, a 3.5mm headphone jack and even an HDMI connecting port which up-scales 1080p high-def movies with the  bundled dock station you get. Still in a prototype stage, the 14mm thick frame can easily handle all common codecs files available in the market, such as H.264, DivX, and WMV, but will also run some of the most popular online multimedia services like Flickr, Youtube, Picasa, Facebook and others. However, if that’s not enough, Microsoft’s Windows CE 6.0 Pro that runs the entire operation inside, is also provided with many of the OS goodies, including Explorer browser, MSN Messenger, internal video player and many more. Additionally, for those who prefer the non-finger usage, a stylus pen will be added as well, when this thing goes out to the market, somewhere in Q4 this year. Update: Apparently Toshiba’s JournE Multimedia tablet is claimed to include VoIP and ebook apps that will be available for downloading via a future app store, which the company planes to open. ASUS Eee PC Roadmap Leaked: 12" Netbooks, Nvidia ION Platform And Tablet PC Devices On The Prep

Assuming these two following roadmap slides, that recently surfaced up on Eeeuser.com, are real, one should expect seeing a lot of intensive activity from Asus direction, in the coming months, as the Taiwanese corp apparently planning to retake over the jammed US netbooks market, by tossing inside some new and advanced mini-laptop devices, hoping to convince all those tech junkie spendthrifts open their empty wallets wide and buy themselves a piece or two. However, with so many cheap and reasonably “specs balanced” alternatives available around, Asus journey, getting to early adopters’ geeky hearts is probably longer and much harder than it may look on the ground. Nevertheless,  according to these latest treasure troves, found in the wild, In Q3 and Q4 of 2009, we’re going to be seeing a brand new 1005HA-P unit, packing a 250GB HDD, paired with Atom N280 processor and offered with optional Windows 7 OS that will set you back for $399, with shipping arrangements, expected to get started somewhere in October. Another “Seashell” like, upgraded version, is the 1005HA-M Atom N270 unit, that runs a Windows 7  Starter Edition flavor and has 250GB HDD storage – all priced at $349. More on that, is the all new 12-inch 1201N Eee PC netbook which will likely include NVIDIA’s latest Ion platform, sitting next to Intel’s Atom N270 processor, 250GB HDD, 2GB RAM, Bluetooth 2.0 and 802.11n WiFi connectivity, set and ready to transfer your relays for $499, sharp when it’s up for release in mid-October. And last but not least are these two models, the 1008HA netbooks that somehow dropped out from the list, and the T91 multi-touch tablet that runs a copy of Windows 7 OS as well, while storage capacity features 32GB SSD and price tag stands at $549. Gigabyte Atom N280 T1028X TouchNote Goes Live In Europe

Apparently, Gigabyte wants even more when it comes to netbooks in general and tablet netbooks to be more specific. And while recent models like M1022, S1024 And T1028 are already available in the market, the company releases the new T1028X version in Europe, equipped with even better specs, that include a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768 swivel display, along with an Atom N280 processor (instead of N270 on previous models), up to 2GB of RAM, built-in microphone, 802.11b/g/n wifi connectivity, dual stereo speakers, a 6-cell 7650 mAh battery, 160GB HDD, 4-in-1 card reader, three USB 2.0 ports and a 1.3MP webcam. As mentioned, the T1028X machine is up and available to buy, offering some optional add-ons like embedded HSDPA and Wimax support, but bare in mind it will cost you, and a lot, as basic device will set you back for  €622 ($875), which is pretty expensive for this category, to say the least. Archos To Introduce The Archos 9 Windows 7 Powered Tablet PC

While technology world is at its first steps getting into the portable touchscreen era, French corporation Archos was always there first to come out with the most advanced and sophisticated media devices around, and as of now, it seems the company had done it again with yesterday’s interesting announcement of the Archos 9 Windows 7 tablet PC, which is literally a 16mm thick / 800gm of portable netbook device, made in the form of tablet unit that boasts an 8.9-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen, along with Intel’s Atom Z515 processor, up to 120GB of storage capacity, 802.11b/g WiFi connection, built-in Bluetooth 2.1 antenna, integrated 1.3MP webcam, 10/100 Ethernet port, two stereo speakers, a microphone and even an optional 3.5G HSUPA WWAN support. Official release is scheduled for somewhere around September this year, while prices start at 450 Euros ($630) for basic version and up to 500 Euros ($705) for the premium models. Update1: Looks like UK fanboys will be able to nab the Archos 9, either with 80GB or 160GB capacities, for 449.99 Euros ($735) and 499.99 Euros ($815), respectively. Still no word from the French about official release dates, but we’re following.

Updatte2: And word just came in, the Archos 9 tablet is said to be released in October 22nd, concurrently with Windows 7, starting at $499.

Update3: Looks like Archos 9 is finally up for a pre-order. With an 8.9-inches display on top and Windows 7 Starter onboard, this $549.99 tablet machine is one awesome portable device that will let you exult and rock.

Update4: We’ve added another Archos 9 image, this time dissected, courtesy of the US FCC that has torn it apart before approving the North American debut.

Update5: Despite previous announcements, it looks like Archos 9 tablet PC is now due for release somewhere around the first quarter of 2010, instead of mid October 2009. We’re not sure what are the reasons for this delay, but guess you will have to take it for granted.

Update6: The good guys at UMPCPortal were lucky to get the Archos 9, a month before official debut, preloaded with a 60GB hard drive and Intel’s 1.1GHz Atom processor inside. Too bad it runs the Windows 7 starter edition which lacks those nifty tablet features you can use in the Premium and Ultimate versions. Nevertheless, checkout their unboxing video after the break.

Taiwan's ARM-Based Mtube II Crams Both Android Tablet and XP Netbook In One Device

The idea of having both Android tablet and XP netbook, packed in one small portable device is lighting our imagination for quite some time, and when Taiwan’s Institute for Information Industry was recently introducing the Mtube II netbook / tablet hybrid machine at the Computex show, we knew we’re on the right direction with this one. The interesting combination of HP Mini 1000, coming with Windows XP flavor, and an Android tablet platform that can easily pulled out of the main body and serve as an independent touch unit, will probably reach the markets in a year or two, but at the meantime, having the ability to watch this wonder in action right here, right now, directly from our armchair is truly exciting, despite the poor processors that were integrated inside – VIA C7-M for the netbook and unspecified ARM processor with the Android tablet – and the screen, which is connected by VNC, providing a medicore video quality at most. Nonetheless, the technology for itself is pretty fascinating, so if you’d like to see this enlightening video for yourself hit the break and start dreaming.

Asus Eee PC T91 Will Support Multi-Touch Capabilities With Windows 7 Onboard

Remember the Eee PC T91 tablet netbook from Asus? Turns out it will support multi-touch handling with Windows 7 inside, as the Taiwanies officially unveiled full specs details of this cool swiveling machine, which includes an 8.9-inch touchscreen, together with Intel Atom Z520 processor, 1GB of RAM and a 16GB SSD. The cool thing about this one (as noted above) is that Asus will now have a capacitive touchscreen that will comply with multi-touch gestures, once installing Windows 7 inside, and if that’s not enough, the entire system will go for £449 ($684).
