Samsung’s iPad Killer The Galaxy Tab S2 To Launch Next Month

Samsung is going all-force with its Galaxy Tab tablet lineup. At this point, it would be safe to assume we’re all too familiar with the wildly successful Tab S series, right? I mean, seriously who hasn’t heard about it, especially if you’re into the tech and gadget worlds.

And Sammy has definitely put an honorable effort to create a nice, functional user-friendly slate that can be truly compared against the iPad. However, it doesn’t seem to have been enough. As it looks, the company still tries to improve it in a yearly basis.

The latest word on the street is that the S. Korean corp. is planning to announce their awesomely designed Galaxy Tab S2 next month. The new series, which will probably consist of 8-inch and 9.7-inch screen-sized slabs, is rumored to be much thinner (only 5.4mm) than the 6.4-mm iPad Air 2, and with a similar resolution screen at 2,048 x 1,536.

What’s inside, you may ask? According to the leaked information, the Galaxy Tab S2 devices are said to be running under Samsung’s latest 64-bit Exynos processor, as well as 3GB of RAM and up to 32GB of internal storage with a microSD slot supporting up to 128GB.

There’s also an Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS installed, along with an 8 megapixel main rear camera and a 2.1 megapixel shooter upfront. Battery wise, the 8-inch model will have a 3,580 mAh battery unit, while the 9.7-inch comes in with a bigger 5,870 mAh pack.

Same as previous Galaxy S lineup, Samsung is expected to launch four versions of the Tab S2, including both WiFi and Cat. 6 LTE-enabled models of the slates.

In all, this seems like a great upgrade, and while pricing and release dates are sketchy at the moment, we would definitely love to see them sometime next month.

You didn’t really think we’d have a European electronic show without a new Samsung gadget, did you? The Korean giant announced Thursday morning a new Android tablet at the annual IFA 2014 press event. This isn’t your regular tablet that just has a touch interface like all the rest you can buy these days. It is an 8-inch, ruggedized slab iteration of the Galaxy Tab, with a water and dust resistant proof around, which aims to lure enterprise users away from Apple iPads. The new slate, that comes pre-loaded with Samsung’s Knox security program is being described as a tablet with a tougher C-Pen stylus attachment and a protected cover which can withstand against a 1.2 meter drop. It packs a 1.2GHz quad-core processor under the hood, along with 1.5GB of DDR3 RAM, a 1280×800 LCD display, 16GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot expansion (up to 64GB),

the slate which goes by the name Galaxy Tab Active, also includes a 3.1 megapixel rear camera to bring out the photographer in you, as well as a front-facing 1.2 megapixel camera that’s perfect for Skype calls with colleagues and friends.

Price and availability are yet to be determined.

Samsung and Barnes & Noble Announce Galaxy Tab 4 Nook

It’s been a while since we’ve last heard anything new from Barnes & Noble , but the company has certainly been putting its time to good use with a big update to its tablet lineup. The popular bookseller has just announced a new partnership with Korean hardware giant, Samsung. The two companies have signed a new strategic agreement that will help them build the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. As per these, Samsung will be making the hardware, and B&N will provide the Nook software which will come pre-installed with the 7-inch slate.

And speaking about specs, what we know so far is that the upcoming mid-range device is likely to include a 7-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, as well as 1.5GB of RAM, your choice of 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, a pair of integrated cameras (rear & front) and additional storage with a microSD card slot.

The co-branded Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK is said to be sold both in B&N stores and online at BN.com starting this August, with prices yet to be disclosed.

Update: Barnes & Noble officially launches the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook with prices starting at $179 and features that include a multi-window/tasking mode and an homescreen widget with recommended reading lists.

Next Generation Samsung Galaxy Tab Slates To Have Super AMOLED Screen Displays

By now you may be starting to think that you’ve seen it all this year, then BAM! Another variant in Samsung’s portable collection. The source of information this time is from SamMobile who claims to have obtained exclusive footage of Sammy’s next-gen series, also known as the Galaxy Tab S. And while the overall design may be somewhat somber, the line of specs is simply phenomenal.

Even though the possible release is still unconfirmed, the latest report indicates there are two versions of the Tab S tablet iteration: the 8.4-inch and the 10.5-inch, both equipped with a Super AMOLED display.

Unfortunately for us, most details are scarce at the moment, and we know only that the 10.5-incher packs a 1.9GHz Exynos 5 Octa processor under the lid, as well as Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0,  dual cameras, 8MP for the rear-facing one and 2.1MP for its front-facing counterpart, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, and a great large display on top with a massive resolution of 2560×1600 pixels.

Pricing and availability information has yet to be disclosed, though we might learn more very soon.

Is This Samsung’s Next Galaxy Tab 4 Tablet? (Update: Confirmed)

Serial leaker @evleaks has recently unveiled what is believed to be the next generation of Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy Tab iteration, the Galaxy Tab 4 — a great compliment to the company’s next 10-inch Galaxy Tab slate, which has just passed through the FCC  today (dubbed as SM-T805), featuring a 10.5-inch display, as well as 2,560×1,600 screen resolution, Android 4.4 KitKat for the OS, and your choice of either Wi-Fi, 3G, or LTE models. The 8.4-inch Galaxy Tab version, which appears to go under the SM-T801 moniker, is likely to come with that similar gigantic 2,560×1,600 resolution, paired with a Samsung Exynos powerful processor and a minimal amount of in-screen bezel. More details to follow soon.

Update1: Samsung has officially confirmed the new batch of Galaxy Tab 4 devices, featuring the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, 8-inch Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and with a list of system specifications that includes a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, duo cameras at the 3MP and 1.3MP shooting range, Android 4.4 KitKat for the operating system, MicroSD slot, and LTE Category 4 standard support. The Tabs are scheduled to come out sometime this quarter in black or white hues.

Update2: The new line of  Galaxy Tab 4 devices is finally coming Stateside, in 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 inch sizes, with WiFi iterations to land in US shores on May 1st starting at $200 for the seven-inch slab, and up to $350 for the 10-incher.

Samsung’s New 7-Inch Galaxy Tab 3 Lite Aims For The Low End Market

As if the mid-range tablet market isn’t crowded enough, Samsung is officially announcing yet another Android tablet, dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. The new device, which has leaked just a few days ago, is packing a 7-inch WSVGA display with 1024×600 pixel resolution (170 ppi) on top. It’s good, but not as good as you would expect from a company like Samsung. We thought we’d see a 1920×1080 pixels screen instead, but since that’s not really a premium device, we’ll just have to settle for this!

Other than that by taking a look at its inner specifications, it still seems subpar to other major tablets such as the iPad Mini and the Google Nexus 7. With a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot), Sammy’s new Tab 3 Lite may not be enough to satisfy your gaming itch, but most consumers will be very happy with it, I suppose. In addition, this Android 4.2 slab will come with WiFi-only and WiFi+3G variants; both to include a rear-facing 2-megapixel camera, and a 4-cell 3,600mAh battery pack.

No word on pricing and availability yet but it will be offered in a variety of colors when taken out.

8.4-Inch Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro Tablet Images Leaked (Update: Now Official In 8-, 10- and 12-inch Sizes)

It’s 2014, ladies and gents, and Samsung is obviously planning some big things to be announced later on! Not one of them leaked to the media, up until now. Today, however, we’ve been fortunate enough to learn of a new tablet device (courtesy of @evleaks) which will hopefully be a part of this company offerings real soon. The culprit, also known as the Galaxy Tab Pro, is said to be wearing an 8.4-inch WQXGA 2,560×1,600-pixel display atop, alongside a 2GB of memory and up to 32GB of internal storage. The slate is also packing Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, and is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor. In addition, we hear that the 8-incher may also be accompanied by a second model sized at 10-inch, and a third iteration sized at 12-inch tall. All three will be running the same operating system and rumored to be rocking the same screen resolution under the hood, while the larger models will also deliver an higher performance Exynos 5 Octa processor, with bigger memory and storage capacities. Finally, the 10.1 and 12.2 tablets are likely to be available in three connectivity options: Wi-Fi-only, 3G, and 4G LTE high speed broadband. Stay tuned for a lot more to come.

Update: Samsung has officially taken the wraps off of its three new tablets at CES 2014. The trio are measuring at 8-, 10-, and 12-inch sizes, when all three run the same exact Android KitKat OS on board (with the multi-window system), and are expected to include an impressive 2,560×1,600-pixel resolution. Sammy’s brand new Galaxy Tab Pro lineup will come in WiFi, 3G, and LTE variants. Options for internal memory will be in the range of 32 or 64 gigabytes, but the bundle includes a 50GB of Dropbox storage freebie. In addition to that, the back of each model is covered with some kind of a leather texture which would be cool to grab, alongside the Samsung Galaxy S-Pen Stylus Pen and two cameras: an 8-megapixel one on the back as well as a 2-megapixel one on the front. Last but not least, the Wi-Fi models are powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa chip while the LTE models will utilize Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800. Price and availability are yet to be determined.

Samsung Refreshes Their Tablet Lineup With a New Galaxy Note 10.1 Slate, 2014 Edition

Electronic giant Samsung  is set to refresh its tablet roster this year. The South Korean corp. has revealed new details about the 2014 edition of the Galaxy 10.1-inch tablet, which is expected to have an upgraded high-resolution screen of 2560 x 1600, compared to previous Galaxy Note 10.1 model that came out to the market with only 1280 x 800 pixels. Moreover, the new Galaxy 10.1 iteration will boast Sammy’s powerful 1.9GHz 8-core Octa chip under the hood, with 3GB of RAM, and your choice of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of internal storage (expendable up to 64 via microSD).

The new Note 10.1 will run Google’s latest and greatest Android 4.3 platform, alongside a much better software, including a better multitasking functionality, and improved S Pen and S Note support. To some people’s disappointment, the new slate will continue to have Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI running atop, rather than going with a stock Android experience, instead. Nevertheless, it is truly a beautiful device, offering a slim and sleek look, with a stunning glossy plastic design (in black or white colors). Not to mention the top-notch technology on board, such as Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, a front 2MP webcam plus an 8MP rear shooter with BSI, AF and LED flash situated underneath, an 8,220mAh battery, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, USB 2.0, 3G data enhancements, and 4G LTE frequency support.

We still have no idea what price the the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 iteration will launch with but, given the specs we can guess it will be within the $400-$600 range, depends on the type of configuration: Wi-Fi only, Wi-Fi / 3G, and Wi-Fi / LTE. The slab is due out sometime in Q3.

Update: Samsung will be pushing out the tablet to US buyers starting October 10th, with Wifi-Only prices ranging between $550 for the 16GB model, and $600 for the 32GB flavor. Moreover, you’ll be getting a 3 months voucher to spend on Hulu Plus, as well as 50GB of extra online storage on Dropbox, another 3 months freebie subscription for the New York Times magazine, and a 52-week subscription to the Bloomberg Businessweek outlet.

Samsung Introduces ATIV Tab 3, a 10.1-inch Windows 8 Tablet with Galaxy DNA

It’s been less than three weeks since Samsung announced a new line of Galaxy Tab 3 tablets, and we already have another new device: Samsung Ativ Tab 3, the most thinnest Windows 8 slab in the world. How thin it is? Roughly around the 8.2mm mark, which makes it ultra portable without sacrificing visual space. And speaking about size, visuals are sent to a 10.1-inch screen, with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. Frankly speaking, we expected to get a lot more from such a high-end slate, but it is what it is, whether you like it or not. Moreover, it is likely suited for graphic artists and designers, thanks to the wonderful set of S Pen and apps that Sammy has included inside the package. Other than that, the ATIV Tab 3 also features an Intel Z2760 Atom CPU, along with 2GB of RAM, a slew of multimedia and productivity connections such as microSD, micro-USB and HDMI ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, dual cameras, one on the back and one on the front, and up to 10 hours of battery life, which eliminates the trouble of frequent charging. This model comes out of the box with 64GB of internal storage, while color options are simple and straightforward, Piano Black or White, with a cool chrome pattern. 

As for the software part, the ATIV Tab 3 runs Windows 8 under the lid, as well as Microsoft’s Office Home & Student 2013 RT, that you receive for free together with a neat keyboard case cover.

Samsung Introduces a New Line of Galaxy Tab 3 Tablets, Including 8- and 10.1-Inch Flavors

 Samsung has already announced a 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 version, and is now planning to add at least two more. The first in that range is the 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3 flavor, which would run an Android 4.2 for the OS, and will feature a WXGA TFT 1280 x 800 (189 PPI) display, alongside a 1.5 GHz Exynos dual-core chip, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage at your choice, expandable up to 64GB through a microSD slot. In addition to that, we’re looking at a 4,450mAh battery pack in that slate, accompanied by a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 1.3-megapixel shooter on the front. Prices are yet to be set, so you will have to wait a little while, before you can choose from the three different variants, including the WiFi only version, WiFi + 3G HSPA-Plus and WiFi and LTE form.

The 10.1-inch model is particularly interesting since it would be the first Samsung Android-powered device that uses an Intel processor on board. And if we are really going to get down the nitty gritty stuff, the ten incher Tab will have an Intel 1.6 GHz dual-core processor under the lid, paired with a 1280 x 800 (149 PPI) WXGA TFT screen, 1GB of RAM, a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera and another one at the 1.3-megapixel range, up front. The battery life is much better in this slate thanks to a 6,800 mAh battery pack, and the storage selection is pretty much similar, with either 16 or 32GB, supporting up to 64GB via microSD slot. This device will be running on Android 4.2 operating system as well, and will hopefully go on sale with the three same variants.

Both slates set to be launched in early June 2013.

Update: Samsung has just updated the pricing and availability of the Galaxy Tab 3 lineup on its network. The new tablet series which includes 7, 8 and 10.1-inch sizes, is going to hit US shelves (at Amazon, Best Buy, Office Depot and Wal-Mart, stores) on July 7th, with prices starting at $199 for the 1.2GHz 7-inch model (with a dual-core processor, Android 4.1, 8GB of storage and 1,024 x 600 resolution), $299 for the 8-inch version, and only $399 for the 10.1-incher.

Samsung Officially Announces The Galaxy Tab 3 Tablet

Another day, another Samsung Galaxy tablet. That’s right folks, the S.Korean corp has just announced the official release of yet another mid-range Android Jelly Bean device, also known as the Galaxy Tab 3 model. After the previous 8 incher this 7 inches (1024×600) slate looks pretty much the same, only with about 1-inch less of your fancy touch-screen real estate. Other than that, we’re basically looking at a tad thinner and lighter Sammy version (compared to the Galaxy Tab 2 iteration), with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor under the lid, either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card slot), a 3 MP rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front camera for video calling, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, and GPS + GLONASS navigation system. There’s also a 4,000 mAh battery pack inside this slab, and an optional 3G HSPA+ capable baseband. While pricing information is still largely unknown, Samsung has announced that it will begin selling the Tab 3 WiFi -Only brand sometime in May, and the 3G edition about one month later.

Some details were scarce, back then, but now we know it will finally get its U.S. release on April 11th for $400. What to Expect From The New Samsung Galaxy S4

With the new Samsung Galaxy S4 set to be released at the end of April, fans have now been given a clear idea of what to expect from Samsung’s latest offering. Here, we will take a look at 4key features of the Samsung Galaxy S4 which are getting fans across the globe increasingly excited and impatient in equal measure, for its release.

The new offering comes with a brand new Samsung Wallet which will allow the user to keep anything they have bought in their phone. Furthermore it is anticipated that the new phone will support Visa Payments, although this is not yet known for certain. This would allow the user to answer a call by simply waving their hand or making a simple air gesture.  Icons can be clicked simply by moving a finger above the screen. Furthermore, users will be able to scroll the screen using their eyes, with the new phone tracking the user’s eye movements.

The new Samsung Galaxy S4 is certainly recognizable and has not strayed too far away from the S3’s design and function, The phone has many impressive features, most notably its super fast processor and its great looking design. The new S4 although almost perfect is not entirely faultless.  Its entire plastic body belies its impressive and sleek design and means that the new offering is a little on the flimsy side. So you’ll want to make sure you get a good smartphone case and a screen protector. Furthermore, Samsung have refrained from overly improving Touchwiz which some users may find a little disappointing. On the whole though, Samsung have managed to successfully mix the new and the old in such a way that the latest option should not fail to disappoint. It may be not be perfect, but it certainly comes to close and it has enough updated features to compensate for any of its flaws.

Samsung Galaxy S 4 Officially Introduced: 5-inch 1080p Screen, 13MP Camera, and 1.9GHz Exynos Processor

At Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S4, a phone that will let you “experience life without boundaries.” That’s right, according to the South Korean corp. the Galaxy S4 is your ultimate “Life Companion” and it will greatly serve you, both in your house and whenever you decide to take it on-the-go. The S4, which is  somewhat a mix of Samsung’s Galaxy S3 and Note II mobile phones, offers a wide range of functions and features, including a beautiful 5-inch 1080p (1,920 x 1,080) Super AMOLED screen display (441 ppi), capable of use with gloves in wet, cold and dusty conditions, your choice (depends on the region) of either a 1.6GHz Exynos Octa-core chip or a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor (probably the Snapdragon 600), 2GB RAM, and 2,600mAh battery to match.

When it comes to connectivity, the 7.9mm thick device has quite a lot to give, starting with the very exceptional WiFi 802.11ac (which also supports the usual a/b/g/n bands), that comes alongside an IR blaster to let you fully control the big tele (access via Samsung’s WatchON service), a built-in NFC technology, as well as MHL 2.0, radios for HSPA+ (850/900/1900/2100MHz) plus Cat 3 100 / 50 Mbps LTE, and last but not least, a Bluetooth 4.0 + LE module.

Moving on with the specs, the GS 4 is running an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform under the lid, with Samsung’s well-known TouchWiz interface layered on top. You get to choose between 16, 32, or 64GB of storage capacities, and there’s a microSD addition, expandable up to 64 gigs, an option that will give you the potential for a whopping 128GB of total memory.

Another important part of the Galaxy S4 is obviously the new 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus capabilities. The camera is claimed to be able taking more than 100 shots in four seconds, and then re-arrange them all in one single frame. It’ll also record video at the 1080p range, and with the “dual camera” mode, you’ll be able to use both the front-facing camera and the rear-facing camera, concurrently, and put ’em together in a pic-in-pic mode. And yes, there’s also a 2MP front-facing camera, in case you wondered.

Samsung was obviously looking to build on the success it had with the Galaxy series (both mobile and tablets), and so the question we needed to ask was when rather than if the next Galaxy device, will be launched. Today the company officially announced the Galaxy Note 8, and finally confirmed our previous suspicions. No actual release date has been mentioned, only that the mid-sized slate will be globally available sometime in Q2. Other than that, we have learned that Sammy’s new slab is going to include an 8-inch 1,280 x 800 TFT display (189ppi), alongside a 1.6GHz Samsung Exynos 4 Quad processor,  2GB of RAM, WiFi a/b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS navigation platform (with  GLONASS), your choice of 16GB or 32GB storage capacities, both expandable via microSD, and HSPA+ 21 (850/900/1900/2100MHz) network support.

In terms of look, the Android Jelly Bean Note 8.0 tablet measures only 8.3 x 5.4 x 0.31 inches, and sports a plastic covering, with a 4,600mAh battery under the hood. The system comes pre-loaded with all sorts of S Pen apps, running with added TouchWiz UX, and Smart Stay, Air View and Multi-Window support. There’ also an AllShare Play and Cast feature, along with those Popup video capabilities, e-reader functionality, and some 3rd-party bloatware such as Flipboard, and Awesome Note. Of course, you can use it as a living room companion, thanks to the integrated Smart Remote app and the inbuilt IR blaster, up on the right. Google Nexus 10 Tablet Leaked With Android 4.2 and Super AMOLED Screen (Update: Now Official)

Google’s Samsung 10-inch joint venture tablet, the Nexus 10, just leaked ahead of launch (which was scheduled for October 29 but postponed due to weather conditions). Of course you should take all this with a little grain of salt, but the pictures and video footage (after the break) speak a million words. Not to mention Google’s Senior VP of Engineering, Vic Gundotra that was posting some images the other day (taken with a Nexus 10 device) on a Google Plus page of his own.

So basically, there’s something in the new horizon. What is it? According to the guys over at BriefMobile, we’re looking at a 1.7GHz Samsung Exynos 5250 dual-core slate, powered by a strong Mali-T604 GPU and paired with 2GB of RAM, about 16GB of internal storage, a 5MP camera on the back and some top-notch connectivity features like NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. The screen on this slab works with a very exceptional 2,560 x 1,600 HD resolution, and this new iteration is claimed to be running an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on board. 

For now, let’s just hope it will go live as expected, and will do just as well as the Nexus 7 model 

Update1: It sure didn’t take long for Google to officially announce the Nexus 10, a 10.055-inch tablet made in partnership with Samsung. As already stated, the new device will indeed pack a whopping 2,560 x 1,600 screen display at 300 ppi – a Retina-level display that is impressively thin and stylishly designed. Moreover, it will also include a 1.7 GHz Cortex A15-based Samsung Exynos 5250 processor inside, as well as a Mali T604 GPU, 2GB of RAM,  a 1.9-megapixel front facing camera plus a 5-megapixel rear shooter, microUSB, Pogo Pin, microHDMI, Android 4.2 for the OS and some cool built-in features that we all have come to know. 

It will be available starting November 13th for $399 (16GB) and $499 (32GB), in countries like the US, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan.

At IFA 2012, we were expecting an explosion of new Windows 8 tablets, and the show certainly didn’t disappoint. Samsung ‘s 10.1-inch ATIV Tab is probably the latest newcomer in that scene. It offers a 1.5GHz dual-core processor under the lid, paired with a 1,366 x 768 display, 2GB of RAM, your choice of either 32GB or 64GB of storage capacities, internal Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. The 20.1 ounces slab you are watching straight down, at the picture below, will run the Windows RT operating system onboard, while the chosen battery pack is the 8,200mAh. In addition, the slate is equipped with a 5MP rear camera and a 1.9MP front-facing shooter, as well as a standard USB 2.0 port, a micro-HDMI and near-field communication (NFC) support. No word on price/availability yet. Oh! What do we have in here? No, this isn’t the Microsoft Courier, in case you were wondering. As a matter of fact, we didn’t really expect it to be released, at all. But because the overall look closely resembles the Redmond version, we thought it was definitely worth a mention. So what the heck is it? Well, It’s Korean, has a 1.4 GHz Exynos quad-core processor, a very handy stylus pen, and it’s called… (drums) the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1; which, as the name might indicate, features a 10.1-inch display on top. Other than that, we’re looking at a 3G-enabled tablet, packing a 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi connectivity, 2GB of RAM, Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) for the OS, and LTE wireless network support. It also has a rear 5MP shooter, and a 1.9MP front-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 2.0 hub and either 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of storage, at your choice. But what makes the new Galaxy Note device so special is the S Pen and the “multiscreen” feature which make everything run so nice and smoothly, thanks to the use of  Wacom’s built-in digitizer technology that comes to hand, out of the box. At this point, while we’re still waiting on official pricing, Samsung is planning to hold a US launch event that will take place on August 15th. Smart Phones and Their Influence on Digital Photography

There’s much doom and gloom spoken about the effect smartphones have had on digital photography. Although the digital camera market was still worth £598 million in 2011, this is down by nearly a third from 2006, when it was worth £843 million.

Some speculators (probably with a vested interest in mobiles) are saying that they can hear the death knell of digital cameras: here’s an example:

“I can see no reason for people to buy a digital camera in a couple of years’ time as many people have already abandoned them. Why would you pay more, carry around two devices and go through all the pain of uploading photos when you can do all that from one device that you already own? I wouldn’t want to own shares in digital camera companies right now because their industries are about to get decimated by the mobile phone.”

But we ought to look beyond the bare stats and the ravings of “the end is nigh” brigade and those who want to make in your face headlines. As newer technology continues to improve the specifications of top-end equipment, measurements like megapixel density or the top level of optical zoom possible will become all rather meaningless those consumers who want a simple good quality picture from their phones or cameras, and then want to share them socially.

When mobile phones first had a camera built in them, in the 1990s, they were poor quality add-on affairs that were more gimmicky than of actual genuine photographic use. But how times have changed. The latest top of the range mobiles have quality optics and features that rival many entry-level digital phones. But is this trend going to continue, and what are digital camera manufacturers doing in response? In a word, learn.

The big change that made cameras in mobiles so popular was the ability to not only speak to someone, and text them, but to send them an image or a video of where you are and what you are doing, that they can receive and look at on their own phone, without having to rush to plug in a computer. While there will always be purists who will compartmentalise photography as something to be kept separate from day to day human interaction on the move, the bridge should be made between those who like to take decent (even artistic) photographs and videos, but who also want to share them quickly and simply with their friends, employers, whoever.

Camera manufacturers could choose to either invest in a web service that complements captured photos or video, or to focus on including new, innovative hardware capabilities and modifications, to retain consumer interest. And go beyond that. Actually win over people from mobile phone photography to digital camera photography.

One of the big pluses of cameras being included in almost all mobile phones is that it has opened up photography to a whole new swathe of people who probably wouldn’t have thought of themselves as photographers. Many of these new converts will actually begin to be drawn in to the world of digital photography and see that it is a medium in its own right, and not just an appendage to social networking.  That means there’s a potential new set of customers for those digital camera manufacturers who can get on the beam and produce a quality digital camera, which will not only have more features than a mobile phone camera, allowing the user to grow with the product, but retain and even enhance the social sharing communication experience of mobile phones.

There is also the factor that some shots are so important that you may not want to trust mobile phone camera technology, but want to go with a dedicated camera to make sure that the shots will be the best possible and stand the test of time.

I’m thinking here of weddings, parties, even holidays. While a mobile phone with a camera can take a shot as good as an entry-level digital camera most of the time, what about if the conditions on the day mean that you need more than the built-in flash of the mobile phone camera? Or a stand/tripod? Or something to enhance a particular part of the composition? Indications are that for “important” photography, people will turn to their digital cameras, or buy one.

So what empirical evidence is there of the effect of the phenomenon of mobile phone cameras on recent digital camera manufacturers?

Canon, Panasonic, Olympus, Pentax and Nikon have in recent years launched a new kind of camera that matches the quality of lenses of a professional model with the sleek, light body of a pocket, point-and-shoot device. Although these mirrorless cameras aren’t a great deal cheaper than the professional digital single lens reflex (DSLR) model, they are lighter and more compact. More mobile phone like in fact.

A range of cameras launched in the past few months have for the first time included WiFi chips, making it possible for users to share their photos much as a smartphone user might.  With this Samsung you can share images and videos wirelessly; instantly send a photo to another mobile phone using Bluetooth. Or rely on the Wi-Fi capability to email it directly from the camera or upload it seamlessly to Picasa, Facebook, YouTube, and samsungimaging.com. You can even upload a video you just shot to YouTube. Now that’s going to make mobile phone manufacturers sit up and take notice!

Panasonic too have entered this market with their Lumix DMC-TZ50. It will let you connect to your wireless home router or a T-Mobile hotspot to upload one or more photos directly to Picasa, Google’s integrated photo-sharing website.

While mobile phones may have a zoom feature that is likely to be a digital zoom, which is inferior in quality to the optical zooms found on digital cameras. In fact this advantage is being maximised by more recent digital cameras having astonishing optical zooms built in, on even very compact phones. Take the Nikon Coolpix 100 for example, with its x26 optical zoom. Or the Panasonic Lumix FZ series with a x24 optical zoom. Even more compact is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR3 with a x8 optical zoom that will suffice for most shots for most people. If you want more the Lumix TZ30 has a x20 optical zoom.

Just as the camera gets smaller and more sociable, so will the mobile phone evolve and compete to incorporate features presently only available on a digital camera. The winner will ultimately be the consumer who will have more choice and more features, for both digital cameras and mobile phones with cameras, at competitive prices.

Samsung Galaxy Tab’s new range of tablets to get an Ice Cream Sandwich update this coming July. According to a SamMobile report, Google’s latest and greatest Android 4.0 OS will show up early next month and lucky Tab owners who happen to have either Galaxy Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9, Tab 7.7 or Tab 7.0 will get the firmware upgrade the moment it is released, while most other devices will be getting it in August. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Officially Live In The US

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has now officially launched Stateside. Announced back in February, at MWC Barcelona, Samsung’s latest tablet device offers a plethora of good features and hardware, including a 1Ghz dual-core processor,  Bluetooth 3.0, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.0, two cameras – rear and front, plus a big display, supporting 1280 x 800 screen resolution on top. The South Korean officials say it’ll be sold through Best Buy, Amazon, Tiger Direct and some other various channels, while the price tag of a 16GB wifi-only version is $400, which is quite steep for this kind of slate, especially when there are other strong options, available on the market. But the only way to decide what’s best for you is to do the math on your own. Samsung Galaxy Player 70 Plus Announced, Packs Dual-Core Processor Under The Hood

Samsung will be updating its Galaxy players lineup with a new upgraded Galaxy Player 70 Plus, a spec bumped version of the previous generation, commonly known as the Galaxy player. While the South Korean mobile giant doesn’t give any further details on availability, the 5-inch Android PMP device is likely to have a 1GHz dual-core processor on board, along with a reasonable 5-megapixel camera, a range of dedicated apps like Kakao Talk messenger and such,  a 2,500mAh rechargeable battery, and a DMB TV tuner for those in Korea. Samsung has already announced 7- inch Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) tablet early this month, and now, at MWC Barcelona, the South Korean corp officially unveils the 10.1-inch flavor, dubbed Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Samsung has officially announced the release of the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), a contemporary version to Sammy’s latest and greatest Galaxy Tab Plus edition, that will probably go live sometime this March, with Android 4.0 operating inside alongside a 1024 x 600 LCD, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and your choice of Wi-Fi or always-on 3G connectivity out of the box. Furthermore, the 10.5mm tablet will pack a  3-megapixel rear-facing camera, paired with a typical 1.3-megapixel flavor on the front. There’s also a 4,000 mAh battery under the lid, an optional HSPA+ connectivity (in case you’re interested), and a DLNA support to wrap it all up. A new breed of smartphones has emerged at the ICES (International Consumer Electronics Show) recently. In this giant gadget manufacturer meet that was portrayed as an amazing event as per the live reports from the event, a race of smartphones made a mark. This new class of smartphones that emerged at the ICES may be an attempt to stand against its potential contemporaries. Over the time, launching 4G network from Sprint is continuously being talked about. And the talks had been doing rounds since the successful launch of the previous one, way back in 2008. This followed the launch of its premier phone, HTC’s Evo 4G in the preceding year. In the meanwhile, it was AT&T that begun adding the short, impressive yet a powerful word “4G” to almost all its smartphones names recently.

But the progress does not take a backseat here! AT&T and Sprint, two of the largest U.S. cellular carriers are actually working hard to get another 4G system on the front. LTE (Long Term Evolution) will be an additional thing to the two mobile carrier giants. This was made available so that it can compete with the wireless version of Verizon that was launched almost a year back.

If T-Mobile USA is to be believed then it has 4G that stands quite similar to the old 4G service of AT&T but the talks about the plans for the 4G LTE deployment is still pending. It’s unclear how AT&T and Sprint will be able to explain to their customers more on the investments they have made in order to have one of the most talked about technology. This seems unclear also because both AT&T and Sprint have earlier exhausted the usage of 4G in marketing.

Last year, it was at the CES where Verizon hosted two high profile news conferences and also went into operating huge sales promotion booth so that the official launch of its 4G network receives promotion too. On the contrary, things this year appeared different since it was visible how the company managed to keep a low profile at the most talked about event.

AT&T announced eight of the new LTE products at CES that included the smartphones and tablets. Now the first LTE based windows phone better known as Lumia 900 is expected to arrive in March. Before the announcement of the break-up of T-mobile, the first ever 4G LTE phones for AT&T already hit the stores in November, last year.

Sprint at the CES announced three new and amazing gadgets that included Samsung phones, a portable wireless hotspot and Galaxy Nexus that is a product of Samsung & Google partnership. It’s expected that Sprint’s new 4G LTE network will surpass its older versions with the elimination of slower 4G network too.

If Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus looks awfully familiar to you, it’s probably because  it features the same exact interior and exterior dimensions as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (with relatively slight changes in screen resolution and cpu clocks peed), only this time, with plans to enter the US market. Oh! And there’s an extra “Plus” in the name. So what do you get inside? Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Officially Introduced

Samsung has just introduced its latest entry, the Galaxy Tab 7.7. The South Korean giant, which seem to be popping up all over the place at the moment, announced this new Android tablet device with an Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) operating system, running on top of a a 7.7-inch (1280 x 800) Super AMOLED Plus display, featuring Samsung’s TouchWiz UX layer beneath, a powerful dual-core 1.4GHz processor, an HSPA+ radio, a microSD card slot, up to 64GB of storage, 802.11n WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, front and rear 2.0MP/3.0MP cameras and a 5,100mAh battery, providing merely 10 hours of work. And while the line of specs is definitely impressive, we’re still on a hunt for the price and availability of this new, upcoming 0.74-pound and 7.89 mm thin slab. Samsung’s 10.1-Inch Alex Chrome OS Netbook Details Leaked

Google’s Chrome OS isn’t quite ready yet, but should be here in a few months time. Meanwhile, a few juicy details about Samsung’s first official Chrome OS netbook have slipped onto the Internet and they are showing off what Sammy’s upcoming 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) netbook device, dubbed “Alex”, is going to include. First and foremost, there’s a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 processor inside, paired with a SanDisk solid-state drive with unknown capacities, 2GB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G connectivity and a VGA webcam, located up front. Naturally, there’s a Synaptics TouchPad down the chassis and that Google Chrome OS platform running on board. Still no word about price or availability, but we’re expecting to hear more about it at Google’s I/O developer conference, in a few weeks or so.

Samsung Galaxy Tabs 8.9 and 10.1 Tablets Now Official

As promised earlier this month, Samsung has officially announced their two new Galaxy Tabs, with the expected 8.9-inch and 10.1-inch models in line. The new Honeycomb Tabs which herald Samsung’s entry into ultra-thin and ultra-light tablets market – both measure only .33-inches thick- will be available starting June 8 of this year, featuring a 1GHz dual-core processor on board, alongside WXGA 1280×800 HD displays, a 2 megapixel front-facing camera and another at 3 megapixel on the back, 3.5mm headphone jacks, SIM card compartments, 802.11 b/g/n wifi connection, Bluetooth 2.1 and microSD card reader slots. Further more, both Sammy’s new devices are said to include gyroscope, accelerometer, a digital compass and an ambient light sensor, whereas the smaller version houses a 6000mAH battery pack and the bigger one boasts a 6860mAH cell under the hood. Remember, these are WiFi only flavors, though Samsung does plan to release 4G-enabled models later in the year to go. On the cost department, Samsung’s prices seem to finally be getting competitive and more affordable for the average consumer, as the 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab is claimed to be offered at launch at $469 (16GB) and $569 (32GB), while the 10-incher Tab will set you back for $499 (16GB) and $599 (32GB) and not a single dime more. So there you go ladies and gentlemen, two revamped Galaxy Tabs on the stake and one PR announcement half past the break.

Samsung Galaxy Tab’s WiFi-only Version Confirmed

It certainly took Samsung long enough to come up with the idea of a WiFi only Galaxy Tab. However, if  the following flyer may be trusted, then we should very quickly be seeing a 7-inch Tab sans 3G connectivity, going live in the near/distant future. When exactly, you’re asking? In the first week of April. How much? Only 399 US Dollars – A Benjamin cheaper than Apple’s 16GB iPad 2 flavor. Will it work for Samsung this time? Probably, and that’s because most manufacturers are motivated by the increasing competition on the tablet market to come up with more affordable high-end tablets. And let’s say it loud and clear: $399 is a much more attractive price for the average tablet user. Let the competition begin!

Update: And looks like Sammy has just confirmed a wifi-only Galaxy Tab version, priced at $349.99 in exchange for a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, 32GB of internal storage, SD slot, dual cameras, Android 2.2 with Flash 10.1 support – due out April 10 and not a single day before. Samsung Unveils an 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab Teaser

We’ve already heard a few tales about Samsung’s supposed 7-inch Galaxy Tab successor, that will likely arrive with an 8.9-inch touchpanel display, and the folks over at the South Korean corp have just turned up another interesting teaser. That includes a mysterious and dark image that seemingly confirms that Sammy’s slim and curvy forthcoming Tab will be announced on March 22nd, challenging the Apple  iPad 2 outstanding design and its 8.8mm thickness. Stay tuned! We’re only three weeks away.

Update: The guys over at PocketNow have managed to nab a few more details about the 8.9-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab. The first thing you’d notice is that it looks very thin compared to Samsung’s previous models (only .33-inches thick and weighs 1.03 pounds). Second, the 8.9-inch display boasts a 1280×800-resolution, and likely to run Android Honeycomb platform on board. There was a sign with the caption “Live Panel” on top of it and another that said “Mini App” tray, or so. What could it be? stay tuned for plenty stuff more.

Samsung to Reconsider Parts and Pricing of the Galaxy Tab 10.1

Samsung’s second-gen Galaxy Tab has already had its first appearance in public, at the MWC 2011 event in Barcelona, Spain, but the last word on that Honeycomb tablet still hasn’t been said. A lot has happened since then; Apple has officially announced the iPad 2, for one – A viable threat, that the South Korean giant couldn’t just ignore. On the contrary, in a recent chat with Yonhap News Agency, executive VP Lee Don-Joo admitted that Samsung needs to do some re-thinking as far as the Tab II inner parts are concerned, and made the pledge to “improve the parts that are inadequate” but didn’t specify what, where or when. In addition to that, Sammy’s top executive has also mentioned that his company will reconsider the new Tab pricing model, and may lower the Galaxy Tab 10.1 -inch price range, in response to the iPad 2 most attractive retail selling prices. A good step towards success.

Update: Looks like Sammy’s Honeycomb tablet will be released on schedule after all. According to Yonhap News Agency that have recently been in contact with Samsung, there are no plans to upgrade or redevelop the company’s next-gen Galaxy Tab in the foreseeable future. Perhaps in some other models.

Samsung Galaxy Tab II Breaks Cover at The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (Update: Now Official)

It wasn’t so long ago that Samsung launched its new 7-inch iPad killer, also known as the Galaxy Tab. And although we haven’t had much time to play with it, as much as we wanted, the Android-powered device has definitely won us over. But as you all probably know, good things with technological advances move forward at light speed, and so does Samsung, that seems ready and set to roll out a Galaxy Tab successor at the MWC 2011 event, which kicks out today. Well, that’s what the rumor says, and so does the following picture that features Sammy’s second-gen tablet (Galaxy Tab II), running an Android 3.0 Honeycomb platform, along with a 10.1-inch display, at 1280 x 800 resolution, 16/32GB of internal storage, and a 1GHz processor attached on board. Word on the street has it that it’d also include an 8 megapixel camera with HD video capabilities, but there’s no official confirmation yet either way. Please stay tune as we gather more information about Samsung’s upcoming tablet.

Update1: It looks like the rumors that were flying around about a new Galaxy Tab II device have finally been confirmed, as multiple media outlets are reporting that Samsung has officially unveiled its latest and greatest 10.1-inch Android Honeycomb tablet, namely Galaxy Tab 10.1 (and not Galaxy Tab II as we first thought), with a 3.5mm jack, a SIM card slot, an inbuilt gyro plus accelerometer, 16GB or 32GB of storage, a front-facing 2 megapixel webcam alongside a rear 8 megapixel camera, boasting a LED flash and 1080p capturing capabilities, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a pair of stereo speakers and a powerful dual-core Tegra 2 processor on board. Samsung has some very good news for those of you who can’t afford themselves spending over $600 on a very expensive tablet, or simply could not conceive of the idea of signing up a 2 years contract with a mobile carrier. As per a plan that the Koreans are currently working on, Samsung will soon have its very own 3G-free Galaxy Tab machine, that will carry 16GB of storage on board, along with up to 32GB of expendable microSD slot. Samsung to Officially Announce a 4-inch Galaxy Player at CES 2011

Rumor has it that Samsung is planning to showcase a new Galaxy Player at CES 2011, early next month. The player, which purportedly boasts a 4-inch Super Clear LCD display with 800 x 480 screen resolution, is said to run a Google android 2.2 platform, together with Samsung’s most efficient TouchWiz layer, right on top. Additionally, it’s also been reported to pack a 1GHz processor, along with a 1200mAh removable battery, WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, 8GB, 16GB or 32GB storage capacities and a rear 3.2 mexapixels camera plus another one (VGA), conveniently located up front. Software-wise, we’re looking at SoundAlive audio enhancement technology which Samsung has wisely embedded inside along with GPS navigation capabilities, HD video playback and T-DMB support. Unfortunately, there’s still no official announcement about price, full specs and release date from Samsung, but you can be sure we’ll be on-hand to bring you all the details as soon as they come out. The only question that left: Can Apple maintain the iPod’s relevance? The only answer we can come up with is: Only time will tell.

Update: And looks like Samsung’s 3.2-inch Galaxy Player has just made it into the pre-orders section at Amazon UK with a January 7th shipping date, full Android Market access, and two capacity flavors to choose from: 8GB that will run you for £150 (about $235), and 16GB that costs only £30 more (or about $280).

Samsung To Release a $1000 Luxury Galaxy Tab

Samsung’s latest and greatest Galaxy Tab has already been on the market for about three months now, and the company is reporting that the 7-inch Android 2.2 tablet has crossed the one million mark in sales, and still counting. Impressive, isn’t it? Well, not if you’re a rich guy/gal and accessories freak, who can afford a lavish Galaxy tablet that would cost around $1000 (instead of the $649.99 you’d pay for a regular version) and include a very expensive leather case, along with a high-end Bluetooth headset. Yes, that’s pretty much the only things you’d get for the extra cash you’re paying here – no hardware tweaks or fancy diamonds etched cross in 14K white gold, just a regular slate with a bunch of “payload” stuff bundled. Word on the street has it that Samsung plans a very limited domestic release in the next coming days, however, if you’re one of us, ordinary people who depends on their savings to purchase it, mind you there are plenty of cheaper alternatives that are just as delicious as this one.

Google has just finally, officially announced the release of the Nexus S (from Samsung), Mountain View’s next flagship smartphone that was built according to commonly accepted 2010 standards and designed to replace the company’s first-gen HTC Nexus One. So what makes it so exciting, you’re asking? Well, there’s a stunning 4-inch WVGA “contour display” inside, paired with a 5 megapixel camera, 16GB of internal storage, NFC (Near Field Communications), 512MB of RAM, a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, and a triband HSPA with AWS support. Besides that, for $199 with a two-year contract or $529 unlocked, you get yourself a three-axis gyroscope, together with a single USB 2.0 port, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a GPS integration, and Google’s latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, already preloaded onboard – Nice! So how do you get one? Starting December 16th, the Nexus S will be available for a purchase (via T-mobile and Best Buy) by anyone who wishes to have it, either online or at one of the local retail stores. Samsung has just taken the wraps off its next 10.1-inch Atom N550 netbook. The 2.87 pounds unit, also known as the NF310, will reportedly feature Intel’s dual-core processor, along with a nine hours battery, and a Windows 7 Starter platform for the preloaded OS. And while you do get hopes by noticing the screen resolution is at 1366 x 768 and that the GMA 3150 graphics is much stronger than its predecessors, the rest of the specs, which apparently include an 802.11b/g/n WiFi connection, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and 250GB of storage, will no doubt bring you right back down to earth when this $399 lappy goes live, somewhere this coming fall. Samsung Galaxy Tab To Cost $399 on Contract (Update: Verizon and Sprint Plans added)

Samsung has been very elusive and secretive about its pricing plans for the Galaxy Tab, but if the following T-Mobile slide should be proven to be real, then we’re looking at a $399 done deal tablet. Of course, you’ll have to sign-up for a new 2-year contract with the US carrier in order to get into a subsidized package, otherwise it would cost you a whopping $649.99 and would probably hurt your “already-empty” pockets.

Update1: US carrier Verizon has just announced that it will begin selling the new Samsung Android Galaxy Tab for $599.99, starting November 11th. Of course, if you want “data plans” then get ready to pay more – about $20 per month for 1GB – but for those who are using standard WiFi connection, a “few hundred bucks” looks like an insane amount of money one should be paying for. Update2: All right, folks, it looks like we’ve got ourselves a competition here, with a third US carrier, Sprint, to officially confirm its Samsung’s Galaxy Tab availability dates and prices, which for some “strange” reason look suspiciously similar to T-Mobile’s offer . The meaning is that Sprint is planning to charge $399 for the 7-inch Android Froyo tablet, along with a two-year compulsory contract (comprised from either a 2GB of data plan for $29.99 and a 5GB for $59.99) or $599.99 for take-and-go buyers, starting November 14th.

Update3: On the same note, rumor has it that Best Buy is going to sell a “WiFi-only” Galaxy Tab (no obligation) for $499.99 along with a black 3G model (Verizon) and a silver 3G model (Sprint) – both require either a 2 years contract or month-to-month plans.

Samsung has finally given it’s upcoming Galaxy Tab the final confirmation it needed. The South Korean giant says that the 7-inch Android 2.2 tablet will have strong presence in all four major US carriers – Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile – somewhere between October and November of this year, and that a WiFi-only version will be coming soon (probably at a cheaper price). At this time we are still unable to share any pricing details but specs wise, it seems you get a pretty good return on your investment, as lineup for this tasty bit of tablet technology includes a strong 1GHz Hummingbird processor, paired with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and another 3-megapixel one, etched behind, on its back. A Look Inside the ultra-slick Android slate unveils plenty of software sweets like Social Hub, Media Hub and a Daily Briefing aggregator, but given the fact it’s not just a simple rebaged tablet, Samsung will also be offering a tweaked TouchWiz layer along with the rest of the goodies that everyone likes inside the Google Android Froyo software. Samsung is not just about tablets. As you can see, its range also contains some new ultra-portable laptop devices that blend in with the most contemporary technology such as 4G connectivity which Sammy has stuffed into its latest and greatest 10.1-inch N350 netbook, in the form of dual-mode LTE and HSPA+ support. Samsung has finally gone official with its latest and greatest 7-inch Galaxy Tab tablet. The super hyped Android 2.2 device which Sami has pledged to release across the European continent this month, stores a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor, paired with wide range of radio frequencies, including  HSUPA 5.76 Mbps / HSDPA 7.2 Mbps (900, 1900, 2100 MHz), and quad-band GSM, while connectivity wise you get the most updated Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 support. Further more, you will be offered to choose either 16GB or 32GB capacities at your choice, joined by a microSD card slot that can add up to a 32GB more. Under the lid there’s a 4,000mAh battery pack and down the bottom you’ll find a 30-pin dock connector that lets you connect HDMI, USB, and other docking accessory stocks. The white slick tablet comes equipped with a rear 3 megapixel camera with flash and a 1.3 megapixel webcam up front. It’s capable of running Adobe Flash 10.1 platforms and can easily handle Full HD video playback on board. Pricing details and US availability are still missing at the moment, but full specs chart, PR announcement and the official video commercial are just around the jumping spot.

Update1: Pricing speculations start floating across the European continent, as more and more local retailers start reporting about their Galaxy Tab set of prices. Nothing has been officially announced yet, so please take it with a grain of salt unless you know something we don’t. And getting into the details, we’re now hearing of ginormous prices as high as €699 ($890) in France and €799 ($1,020) in Germany – considering there are 16GB and 32GB flavors to choose from. As for UK residents, Expansys will sell you the 16GB Galaxy Tab at £680 ($1,050), with shipping dated for 11th October.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Finally Gets The Official Video Teaser

It may still be intangible for most of us at the moment (until September 2), but the way it looks it seems that Samsung’s future Galaxy Tab has finally made its first official video debut. And while giving us a quick teaser for what we can expect seeing in the coming future – considering the short screen time – it would be just unwise for us to jump into conclusions. That been said, and from the few we’ve managed to catch, it sure looks like the the neat features included: a 7-inch display, running an Android 2.2 platform with an integrated e-reader, video calling capabilities, GPS navigation system, HD video playback and full internet surfing support, are definitely worth the wait and expectations. Update1: Looks like Samsung’s lavish Android-based Galaxy Tab has just made its second video appearance – this time unofficially. What’s inside, you ask? Android 2.2 for the OS, along a 7-inch 16:10 ratio display, a front-facing camera, WCDMA 3G connectivity, a DMB tuner, SDHC memory slot, video calling capabilities and finally, slick and very responsive user interface platform. Update2: And to keep the entire tablet’s accessories lineup in position, Samsung has just announced a new official collection, specifically designed for its 7-inch  Galaxy Tab. Among them you’ll find a “table charging station” with both HDMI and audio ports at  €54 ($70), a keyboard cradle at €82 ($105), and naturally, a nice leather case with a stand arrangement for €41 ($53). Update3: According to the FCC Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab (AKA: SHW-M180S) is likely to include dual-band 2.4GHz capabilities along with GSM 1900 radio frequencies (supported by AT&T) and a 5.8GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi connectivity – pretty impressive Sami.

Samsung’s YP-MB2 Android PMP Pops Up In The Wild

Hey! What’s this…A new Samsung PMP running Android OS inside? Though not official yet, it still looks and feels like the real thing for us, and judging from the rumors, it’ll probably make an official debut soon – South Korean style. For a nondisclosure price you would get yourself a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, paired with 1GHz processor, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3mp camera and last but not least – Google’s Android OS platform swiftly running inside. The name is YP-MB2, in case you wondered, and y’all should stay tuned  for more juicy details to come.

Samsung’s Galaxy P1000 Tablet is Rumored To Include a 1GHz Hummingbird Processor

While no official confirmation has been made, rumor has it that Samsung’s next Android 2.2 tablet, the Galaxy Tab P1000, will presumably include a 1.0GHz S5PC110 processor unit – the one which you’re also going to find in the company’s brand new Galaxy S mobile device (on the left). In addition to that, the 7-inch 840 x 480 capacitive slate reportedly packs dual camera components, a 3.2mp rear camera and a front-facing VGA webcam, both to join other neat features such as integrated WiFi connectivity and a built-in GPS navigation system that Samsung is apparently planing to add to the box. Stay tuned for more to come.

Update: And looks like Samsung’s future tablet, also known as the Galaxy Tab, was spotted on one of Sydney’s public transportation and videotaped during the ride. Watch the video after the break.

Samsung N230 Netbook Offers Joy, Bubbles and 13.8 Hours of Battery Life

The latter, which was recently launched, is Samsung’s N230 that comes fully packed, with either 1.66GHz N450 or 1.83GHz N470 Atom processors at your choice, paired with a 10.1-inch, 1,024 x 600 LED backlit display, Intel’s GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G connectivity support. So far so good, but get this – for $400 you will also get yourself a 66Wh battery that delivers up to 13.8(!) hours of work time, 13.8, that’s really great in terms of longevity, isn’t it? Samsung’s Android-Powered Galaxy Tab Unveiled

In general, there is not much information available about Samsung’s future tablets lineup, which apparently includes the S-Pad and the Galaxy, both are said to run Android OS inside, as the 7-inch Galaxy Tab is believed to be featuring Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of the platform, while the S-Pad is said to have both WiFi and 3G data connectivity on board. Stay tuned!

Update1: Rumors keep floating around, suggesting Samsung is about to release three different Galaxy Tab flavors in three different sizes: the 7-inch model, planned for August of this year, while 8-inch and 10-inch version are slated for holidays season.

Update2: There’s even more, according to Tinh te, Samsung’s 7-inch Tab will probably include an Android 2.2 inside, while CPU, Cortex A8, is said to run at a 1.2GHz speed clock. Besides that, it will also have 16GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD, and powered by a 4,000 mAh battery. As for the name itself, rumors claim that Samsung will call it “Galaxy Tape”.

Update3: Of course, the existence of a viable Samsung Tab can only be proven by a video, and we’ve just added one, so check it out after the break. It has some sort of a dialer, a DIALER?

Update4: As more details start sprouting out, we now hear that Samsung’s 7-inch Tab is going to boast a 3.2 megapixels webcam, along WiFi and 3G data compatibility, with a standard SIM slot.

Update5: We now hear that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab should be out to the world somewhere in Q3 of 2010.
